Read the newspapers, watch the news on TV and listen to what others are saying.

You will have to form your own opinion, because everyone has a different one.

One view is that US troops are aiding poor defenseless people; another view is that human rights are being violated; another is that it is all over oil prices; another is about it being a weapons' threat to us and ours.

Honestly, it is most likely a blending of all the above and then some.

The US (love her dearly, hate her politics!) is often guilty of sticking its nose in where it does not belong. Our beloved country plays Big Brother to many nations, but our protection and friendship comes at the cost of doing things "our way".

A lot of countries are not happy with this. A lot of countries have tons of problems too, including starving citizens and filthy living conditions. Their wealth goes to support a few greedy people in high positions.

This is the world we all live in. There is no one pat answer.

War is waste and war is hell. We try not to think of it and think of other things instead. It is a necessary evil and the only thing I tell myself about it is that it is being fought elsewhere and not in our own front yard. America is lucky in that respect; but the terror attack on 9/11 bought a taste of war to us for the first time. We either fight or lay down and play dead; there seems to be no way to avoid it.

Well the war in Iraq is claimed to be trying to stop terrorism.

But i with millions of believers believe that its for OIL. Bush wants to destroy the oil supply in the middle east.

But thats just my opinion, you have to look at the several hundreds of different opinions(eg- war because of hate for muslims) and analyse and make your own opinion.

Hope that helped

Start reading daily newspaper articles and you'll soon put the pieces together. The war is a confusing topic and even us 'older folks' have trouble following what our leaders are doing.
