They are called floaters. If you are seeing a lot, as you describe you need to call an eye doctor. Save yourself some time and go right to an ophthomologist. Are you seeing and flashes of light also? Floaters are actually tiny clumps of gel or cells inside the vitreous, the clear gel like fluid that fills the inside of your eye. What you see are shadows that cast on your retina. What is happening is the vitreous gel pulls away from the back wall of your eye. You seriously need to go to an ophtholmologist. Worse case senario, you are experiencing a retinal detacthment. Whoever you call will have you in the same day, trust me! Don't stress, just get it checked out

While floaters can be a normal sign of aging, they may also portend more serious conditions. Blurry vision is never normal.

See an ophthalmologist now! (Not an optometrist, they are not appropriate for this condition) If you can't get an appointment right away, call your personal physician.

Call your optometrist as soon as you can. An increase in black floaters and sudden blurring of vision can be a sign of a serious condition.

Be seen today...if when you call your optometrist, and they send you elsewhere, specialist or ER...go immediately.

For any eye problems, the sooner caught, the better treated.

I would go to the doctor. I have no idea what could cause that, but I'm guessing that it is important enough to get checked out.

I'd recommend you go see an optometrist / ophthalmologist and have your eyes checked as soon as possible.
