Classical: Pachelbel's Canon in D is very popular; JS Bach's Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring is even prettier and not as overused IMHO, Beethoven's Ode To Joy from the Ninth Symphony would be grand and lovely.
Irish: you might want to look into the works of Turlough O'Carrolan (sp?) who was a master harper of - I believe - the 17th century. He might have been a little earlier or a little later. Anyway, his tunes are lovely. One of them might suit you nicely and most folk who know anything about Irish music at all will be able to point you at his work easily.
For my part, I had a Scottish piper. He led me up the aisle to a tune called Highland Wedding, and used Mairi's Wedding as the recessional. The bridesmaids entered to a lovely Irish tune called Give Me Your Hand played by a Celtic folk band we'd hired for the event. Oh, and just before the vows the guitarist did a solo of Here, There, and Everywhere by The Beatles.
If you'd like to use something more modern, I'm sure Enya would have an appropriate song. Her work would definitely be easy to make an entrance to...though a lot of her songs would be a bit staid and restrained for the recessional.
Whatever you choose, I'm sure it will be lovely. The entrance music is usually quieter and slightly more solemn in tone than the recessional, but you can use literally anything you'd like...unless you're being married in a church that has restrictions on what secular music they allow.

Just like playing movies for public viewing outside of a theater, there are legal issues in playing music. As long as the music, or the musical sheets for reading & playing the music are legally obtained and/or purchased, there is no copyright violation. The exception to this is if the music is being played at a certain type of venue (i.e. a club, DJ or at a county fair) licensing fees are paid to the copyright holder/ artist. The one exception to this is if the copyright holder has been deceased for a minimum of 70 years from the date of intended use. After this, the piece is considered "public" and there are no copyright issues even when it is played in a public setting. So older "secular" pieces such as "Bittersweet Symphony" would have no copyright issues, others like The Rolling Stones who still have Mick Jagger around may need to have a fee paid. I'd contact the Interscope Records corporate office to see what, if any issues you'd be dealing with. They are the current Rolling Stones music label and would know all you need to know about it.

I am walking down the aisle to "At Last" by Etta James.
I also really like Rachmaninoff's "Symphony No. 2 in E Minor, Op. 27". Give it a listen, it has a great flow and tons of emotion so you might find a minute in the song that you might like.

I Do Wedding Song from Boyz II Men.
It is absolutely beautiful. Go on youtube and listen to it. I wish I would have thought of it when I got married in 2001.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have Handel´s Zadok the Priest-this can be played on the organ, and doesn´t need a choir. It is gorgeous, and can be heard here-
