Christians: How many hours do you study the bible, during the day?

On average, how many hours do you give to God, to study his heart (the Word)?

I try to spend at least an hour reading and the rest of the day pondering. I also pray throughout the day for understanding.

Depends on the day. I usually take Mondays "off" to shop and do errands. I say the Officium Divinum every morning and every evening (morning and evening prayer), which includes an OT lesson, a NT lesson, and a selection from the Psalter...usually about 3-5 individual Psalms. I guess daily...an hour and a half.

Then, usually on Wednesday (today) - I'll begin reading the Gospel Lesson for the Sunday upcoming...I'll get out my commentaries and notes - and begin a process of about 1-2 hours in the afternoon - and make notes for my homily on Sunday.

Sometimes, if I don't finish by Saturday night - I'll get up early on Sunday (4:00 - 4:30 A.M.) and read and complete the sermon in a few more hours. Then I say my morning Office...

I'd say it averages to about 2-3 hours per day.

Average of 30-60 minutes of Bible reading/study. But throughout the day I reflect on what I've read, prayer, etc.

An hour. I crave more, but that is the time that I have and the mental capacity after working all day and having 2 boys to contend with.... although they study too and sometimes we study together the basics bible study. If I were home more, I'd study more. I have prayed for that to come to pass, and will continue to pray that he give me more time with him.... he will!

It is pretty hard to quantify the number of hours one spends in God's presence which is what I presume your question implies. As a christian, I find that cultivating the habit of communing with God at all times keeps you in an atmosphere of being in His presence at all times. Even though you may not be reading the bible 24/7, the Spirit of God brings scriptures up to the forefront of your mind and in nearly every situation you just have an inner insight as well as good understanding as well as solutions to problems, even at the work-place. I experience this more or less every day. I continuously stay my mind on Him. Meditating and generally communing with God. It is a sweet and blissfull feeling and words can hardly describe it. But it works!
The scriptures clearly states that 'He will keep in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him'. I do have a very hectic and busy life which means I do not really study the Bible as much as I would like to. However I endeavour to have a quiet time of about half an hour in the mornings, during which I read scriptures and worship in prayers.
This kind of sets the day for me in that I then focus on meditating and pondering on what ever topic I would have read that day.
Most times a scriptural theme forms the template for new songs for me for that day. I often find my mind seeing the spiritual relevance of that particular scripture even in other everyday issues.
I believe it is a good way of training our minds to be more tuned to GOD. Creating and developing the presence of God at all times in our minds.

ideally we should focus about 2 1/2 hours to God daily, but this does not limit itself to reading the bible. Personally I try to read the bible about 1 hour each day.

Varies. In the summer maybe 45 minutes. In the fall or winter about 4 hours a day.

I am not a Christian, but every morning after I have read and studied the Quran I like to read a chapter from the bible .

I was a Christian and then i didn't study the bible at all besides church. But i don't believe some of the same things anymore so.

I get verses sent to me and I read some devotionals from a few websites about 1/2 an hour all together.
