Last friday my car got rear ended. I was stopped, it was completely not my fault. Im trying to get a rental car from the guy's insurance but they're OBVIOUSLY just giving me the run around trying to stall before they have to start paying for it. Are there any tricks anyone knows to get these jerks to pay me quickly. Is there a law against avoiding payment or delaying payment?

BTW the insurance is Country Mutual... stay away

And remember, this isn't your insurance company. They aren't entitled to do anything for you other than pay you the least amount they are liable for.

I'd suggest calling your insurance company and letting them have at it. You'll get your money quicker and probably more than you'd get on your own.

Good luck.

I see the opportunity of a loophole that ought to probable provide you insurance. You apparently with the help of what you stated have yet another motor vehicle so subsequently i think you have that motor vehicle insured. If by twist of destiny you do have collision on that motor vehicle the 2nd motor vehicle that became broken did have coverage for 30 days from the date of the bill of sale even inspite of the indisputable fact which you probably did not have the skill to sign up it. study your coverage insurance words on the subject of newly obtained autos. So if there is insurance for that 30 day era you may make the announcement and ask the corporate to as a courtesy take the declare information you do have a deductible and the different proprietor does have coverage yet is being a bastard appropriate to the declare in straightforward terms because of the fact your motor vehicle became untagged. You motor vehicle does not could be tagged to be insurable. All you prefer is a bill of sale exhibiting to procure the vehicle with the reason to place it legally on the line. You coverage company would declare you had 30 days to tell them to characteristic the vehicle and because you probably did not they don't could take your addition. i've got faith the state coverage commissioner would disagree and order you be coated. Any way in case you're on stable words alongside with your coverage agent they'd even see they have little or no threat and settle for the insurance and the declare with none resistance. Its well worth a attempt.

Country Insurance is a good company.
However, they have the right to investigate all accidents to determine the circumstances of the loss.
It could be their customer is not responding to their phone call or perhaps any number of other reasons why they "seem" to be hassling you.
If you don't like the way your being treated, call your own insurance carrier.......that's why you pay them.

Rent the car yourself, and if needed, sue the other driver for the cost!

The insurance company does not have to provide you with a car, but they are liable for your costs if you rent one!!

Call your insurance agent and get them to light a fire. We do that in our office and prefer to take care of claims ourselves in case something like this comes up.
