Law by nature must be clear and specific. Therefore, it requireds constant expansion and clarification to accurately apply it to all the difernt situations that continue to arise. The religious leaders in Israel added a great body f oral law to the Law of Moses received at Mt. Sinai

Many preachers of tithing vigorously deny that they are preaching a law, but it fits the profile perfectly. There are as many opinions of how tithing should be done as there are preachers who promotes it. This should be an indication to perceptive Christians that it is not the Holy Spirit's plan for us today.

Consider the following questions and issues that relate to tithing:

1. Do you tithe on gross income before taxes or net income after taxes ?

2. Does the tithe have to be the very first thing paid when you receive income?

3. Does the whole tithe have to go to your local church?

4. Are you obligated to tithe if your spouse does not agree to it?

Tithing is the old way. We are to give 100% of what we have and are to the Lord. 10% is a good place to begin to give to charity.

We CANNOT rob God because He already owns everything.

Tithing is abused. Be wary of any church that requires it. But you still need to support your church.

I say all of this because I've seen God's blessings from it for myself. When I tithe, He provides....no matter what the situation is.
