I have just been given WORD 2007 to use for work and i am struggling. I need to import a photo and then write text on various areas on the photo. No doubt it's easy when you know how....the trouble is that i dont!!!!! Please help, thanks

Hi, You can do this in word but as the others have said you would find it easier in Photoshop or something similar...
But... in Word (2007) if you go to insert > picture and insert your pic. click on the pic and under Picture tools at the top find Text Wrapping towards the right side of the screen. Then choose the option behind text this will allow you to move the image whereever you want...
Now for the Text... Go to insert again and find text box > Simple text box... Now you should be able to type in what you want and then move it around as you wish by clicking and holding on the outline of the text box...

Word doesn't actually allow you to write ON the photo. For that you'll need some photo-editing software, like Photoshop, or PaintShop, or Fireworks.

Prepare the photo using photoshop or other program that will manipulate/edit an image. Then save and import into your document as an OBJECT
