I have never had the desire for kids. My husband feels the same way. Why do people force their tired oppinionated argument that i have to have one? No one listens when I speak or give my reasons? Leave it alone already!!

It's time to be blunt with these people and tell them to change the subject instantly when they bring it up. If it continues to be a problem you may want to consider making new friends who can accept you and your husband for who you are. There's nothing wrong with not wanting to have kids. I think too many couples give in the pier pressure you're talking about and end up having kids they really don't want to have. Bummer for the kids for having parents with this kind of attitude.

Ok, well some people are just stuck with ideas of the so called 'Ideal' family, you know like a wife, husband and two kids and a dog. It probably has to do with their own family life. I totally respect your opinion and I think its great if thats what you and your hubby want. My husband and I only have one child and we plan to keep it that way but we still get people judging us too, always asking when are we going to have another one or giving us weird stares when I tell them we arent planning on having anymore. Just ignore them!

Ive only been married a year, and ive got people always asking when im going to have children. Its soooo annoying. Im not sure why people have to force us to have kids when we arent ready for them, or even want them. The next time someone asks when your going to have kids, respond by 'when you stop being so nosey'. lol

People as in friends or family? For most friends and family, just say that 'we don't plan to have children and that is all I plan to say on the subject. Now let's change the subject.'

I'm sure your parents are hoping for grandchildren. They are the only people you really have to talk to about it. They raised you, they are interested in your life. Be kind to them about it.

I know how you feel: here's a good tip. When people say sth. like that to you, take a sad expression and say "Well, we've been trying for a long time now, but apparently we can't have any babies". They feel so embarrassed and realize they shouldn't have interfered in such a personnal matter. I know you may want to stand for what you believe in, and sure they have no right to interfere, but just try my suggestion once, it is so funny to see how embarrassed they are!

If it ain't there names on the marriage certificate, tell them to butt out. It's usually the people with pathetic lives and who are trying to live there lives though others that say those things.

i have the same problem because there is a survival of species trait that we must reproduce to keep the species going - obviously the species is a little too abundant.

and yes tell all those people to stuff it if you guys are happy.

Tell them that if they pay for the operation, you will be glad to have one of your eggs fertilized with your husband's sperm and implanted in their (or their wife's) uterus. If they are so enamored of the idea of you having kids, then I'm sure they will have no problems carrying the child, going through labor, and then raising it for 18 years.

They should mind their own business, the biggest problem in our world is overpopulation. I have some Mexican neighbors, and their parents are PUSHING them to have many babies, and it has caused explosions in the family. The biggest problem in Mexico is they have way too many babies, and they are forced to send millions of their people here as a result. If we don't learn to say no to this kind of interference, our world is going to be in serious trouble.

I seriously dont want to have kids. I say to myself "by the time im 30 if i dont have kids, i wont". I dont care what everyone says to me about having kids and getting married. Its my life and i will do as i please with it. If it turns out that when im 40 i want to have kids, then i will. Its all about you and when your ready. If your not ready to have kids and dont want to, dont , or else you may regret it forever.
