I live in Ohio, if it matters.
My fiance and i are moving here in a few months and we're getting rid of all our hand-me-downs from when we moved in with each other 3 years ago.
We're a young couple and we don't want to shell out too much money.
We're looking for:
End Tables for $90 MAX!
Entertainment Centers $200 MAX!
Kitchen Tables $100-200 MAX!
A nice comfy couch!
What are some good store OR even websites to go to .. BESIDES wal mart .. unless you've bought something really sturdy from their dont put that down .. everything i buy from there falls apart!

Check out the yellow pages on line for the city/area you are moving to under Furniture. There are always stores that offer less expensive options. Try Value City or The Room Store as well. If you order from a website, much of your money will be eaten up in shipping fees whereas most furniture stores offer free delivery. I would suggest that you put more money into your sofa as it will take the most wear and last longer if you do.

Try Big Lots! Some of their stuff is the pressed board- but they have some reasonable furniture, like metal, etc. Check them out- there may be a few pieces of what you are looking for. Maybe Sticks and Stuff? And consignment shops are always a good place and Goodwill, Salvation Army etc. you can also put an ad in the paper: Wanted good, used furniture.

look for a local "Freecycle" website. It is a site dedicated to giving things away rather than sticking them in the trash/landfills. You must be willing to give as well as receive. My area also has an on line 'flea market". Have you tried "Local Sales Network"? I have found great deals at The Salvation Army and Goodwill stores. Stay away from pressed fiberboard, it is designed for a very limited lifespan.

I believe there is an Ikea store around there.Always good value for money and the goods are well made.

Go to a proper furniture store for the couch and get a good one = expensive !
IKEA is a good place for hard furnishings.
