I found this petition and i just wondered if anyone knew how many survivors there were still with us??

Surviving Veterans:
3 British.
3 French.
2 German.
The British Vets have all said they do not wish a State Funeral and their wishes should be respected.
The British Government didnt give a toss about them between 1919 - 2000.

Well, there are about 4 left that can prove their claim, and of them, only 1 actually served in France. The others were still in training Stateside, but they did enlist before the end of the war. There are 2 or 3 others that claim to have enlisted before the end of the war (one man claimed to have enlisted at 13, another says he enlisted in 1918, but records show 1919). Assume that by no later than 2008 we will have no more verifiable WWI era veterans surviving in the US.

It was in the press last week in conection with the battle of Passchendaele Commemoration, that there are three surviving British service men.

There are 3 American WWI era Vets left, none that saw combat and only of them was in France.

6.7% of the men who died in Vietnam died in Iraq. There are more soldiers now than there were then, so I would think there are quite a few still alived
