There are little white lie's that are always ok. I would say it is not ok to lie other things. There are exceptions to this.
1. Job Related: a) Maybe you have a security issue and you cant tell your significant the truth other for reasons of national security.
b) Maybe you had to do something extremelly dangerous at work and dont want to worry your loved ones. ex: Fire broke out and you went in to put it out to protect something.
c) You are going away on a buisness trip and you are planning a get away with your significant other and you are using the spare time of the trip to test where you want to go. ex: No hunny, I just stayed in the hotel and read.
2. Family problems with other members but not significant other. (too many to go into detail.)
Thats all I can think of at the moment. But you can see where I am going with the exceptions. They should be used only if you have to give an answer.

Lying is ok when it won't ever hurt anyone, and it helps someone out. I am an extremely trusted person in my large group of friends. I just got into it this year, but already i am told stories from everyone, about tons of stuff. I would never do anything to break the trust, but i do lie every now and then. Not to save myself, mind you i have done taht a few times and i regret it. But, never get caught. If you get caught just once, your trust is worthless.

I think the only time lying is ever ok is when you are asked, "Does this make me look fat?" Of course you aren't going to tell your partner they look bad.
Lying just leads to more lying. Then you are stuck in a big tangle of lies.
Don't lie. The truth surfaces sooner or later. Might as well make it now.

Don't tell me, you've NEVER told a lie in your entire life!
Of course there are times when lying is okay....such as, if a lie prevents hurting another persons feelings, then it's done for a good reason.
Sometimes being brutally honest is just not the way to go.

I never lie, but I do think there are a couple of instances.
If someone has had a tragedy, a true, death massive injury type tragedy, I think it's ok to lie, rather than hurt them. If they ask if they're going to be ok, and you know they're not, that's ok.
If your wife asks if the pants make her look fat, I think that's ok to lie too, or at least to ephasize quietly in your head that it's not the pants fault.

depend on you age i would say yes and no. i think more people lie then tell the truth but i still don't think it is okay i got caught in a massive lie and lost a major pet sitter job over it so do you say a favor tell the truth it might hurt but in the long run it will be better. it is up to you but let me forewarn if you get caught in a lie its bad and it hurts double. good luck on you answers.

i dont feel lying is ever ok but here and there a lil white lie so you dont hurt someones feelings may be ok like telling them they look ok in what they are wearing even though they really dont thats ok!!

Maybe lying about where you wanted to go out to eat that night so your partner could go wherever.
