That statement with no qualifiers is illogical. It needs at least something like:
If the Bible is 100% accurate in depicting how life formed on Earth, and God made man on Day 6, then evolution is a lie.
That is a logical argument.

You seem to mix up two things - facts and faith. Faith lies beyond the limits of logic. And logic cannot always be infallible since all logic is based on what is known, and assumed ; and things that have not come into our purview of knowldge still lie beyond the limits of logic. Therefore inordinate and overweening trust in logic may also lead us wrong.
Faith in a creator and was also a logical necessity. The Biblical account of creation is mainly a metaphorical representation. Much has been discussed about it during the nineteenth century England, when a French scientist by name Cuvier established that human beings existed much before the time of creation of Adam and Eve; because if the age of human race is calculated following that account, human existence is not more than 5000 years old.. So the human skeletons which dated back to millions of years were called pre-Adamites.
Science is still in its infancy and therefore let us not be bothered about the veracity of religious accounts of cosmogony.
If you believe in God continue to keep that faith without any wavering. It will get you rich dividends.

Well, the bible was written at a time when microscopic organisms were not even thought to have exist. If you told someone like David that the Earth revolves around the sun, or that a pig and an ox would fall at the same rate if pushed off a cliff he probably would not have believed your. The Bible is true but it is a "lay mans" way of explaining everything to a non scientific people. To a person that exists in eternity six days might be a blink of an eye. Maybe six days of God's time was like billions of years. The bible also does not mention dinosaurs... but they surely do exist.

The real problem of fundamentalist Christianity is not this verse. In fact, skip one chapter ahead and you get another creation narrative that does not agree with the first.
The real problem with evolution is deeper and more fundamental. Because of Adam's sin, all die. Therefore, before eating the fruit, nothing died and all were in paradise.
Except, of course, dinosaurs died before man existed, therefore the sin of man did not create death, or at least bring it into the world.
If Adam's sin did not cause death, then there was no original sin for Jesus to atone for. Therefore, if death is a biological process and not the result of a choice, then Jesus simply died for nothing. Or worse, Jesus simply died. Evolution must be false in the fundamentalist perspective because the alternative is that historic Protestantism must be strictly false. Fundamentalist have understood this since their founding in the 1890s. To reject fundamentalism and embrace evolution is truly to reject sola scriptura, the bedrock of the Reformation. It risks embracing Catholicism and Orthodoxy.
I suspect any fundamentalist could accept, given the dual creation narratives, and a third buried in one of the psalms, that evolution was the description of the mechanical process of the creation of man. But the Protestant conceptualization of sin and the mechanism of sin is strongly violated by evolution. Most Protestants either do not see it, or have begun adopting Catholic and Orthodox views of sin.
Evolution proclaims that given only the Fundamentalist or historic Protestant view, then Jesus was an ordinary person who just died. Any other opinion implies Jesus was not omniscient or at least not bright enough to know that Jewish narrative was erroneous. It also implies that Jesus was killed for no discernable reason.
Within the Fundamentalist framework, EVOLUTION IS A LIE; the alternative is that all of Christianity MUST BE FALSE. Fundamentalists do not accept that other Christian groups might be the ones who are correct and their perspective is false.

logical, evolution is a lie. All kinds of plants and animals have been here since God created them in week 1. All humans come from Adam and Eve, including all skin tones(Adam and Eve simply contained all of the genetic information needed. Different skin tones simply arrive from a loss of other genetic information. There is no proof of evolution. Here is a website that has a lot of information about genesis and the creation. http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/qa.asp But as always, check your Bible before believing anything that someone tells you. God bless!

atheism is built on people like you who can look at the teachings of the bible and only over-examine its meaning. For all we know God meant that he made the steps for Humans to later evolve
evolution is the answer to how not why
dont make the bible anything else but a good frame to live by

Illogical.
Whether you think it is fiction or non-fiction, the Bible is a work of literature. It is actually several different books put together, of a variety of genres. There's history, genealogies, poetry, metaphor, prophecy, parables, etc. It should not and simply CAN not all be read literally. One has to take many things into consideration when reading it seriously, including author's intent, historical context, and genre.

Psalms 90:4
For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.
In Gods sight, wisdom, and power 1000 years = 1 day and vice versa. How?......He's God and can do anything!
