You could send it to him, just put "food" on the customs form. I'm not sure how well it will work or travel though. The mail is getting through pretty quickly these days, but I'm not sure if it would work. I've been sending my wife priority mail packages in Iraq, and she has been getting them in 3-4 days. I send her all kinds of food, but I haven't tried that yet. I suppose, if you vacuum sealed it and sent it in a cooler with as many ice packs as you can get, or some dry ice, it might work. Chocolate melts before it gets to them though, just keep that in mind. But no, there are no rules against it, I'm just not sure it would work.

What's Jack?

Edit:
Oh! We don't have that here. I wouldn't recommend mailing fast food overseas. I lived there and have sent many things overseas to people who have been deployed and food doesn't travel well. First it goes to New York, where it gets on a plane to go to Germany, then on another plane, it goes to where ever is it's destination. Even vacuum packing it, which would be it's best bet, it wouldn't taste good. I would get him a jack in the box t-shirt or something as a joke. Or a photo of you eating at one.

Probably not allowed but it is possible. What you would send is the ingredients for the food (prefrozen patty, bun, etc) on dry ice to it's destination. The dry ice should allow it to keep for 3-4 days.

I am willing to bet that the local BX/PX where he's stationed in Afghanistan has a Burger King or Baskin Robbins!

I don't think that would work very well. It takes weeks to get mail in many places over their.
