My daughter's friend's father died. The family did not have much money, and I heard that they had to go into debt to pay for the funeral.
I took money from my savings account and paid for the whole thing, anonymously. They never knew who did it.

I once told a coworker at a retail store that I had been told to watch her because she was stealing from the company to pay her drug dealer. I also told her that other people in the department were talking about her going to the bathroom and returning with the sniffles.

I then told her that I did payroll for the company and her insurance would pay for her to go to rehab and our Employee Assistance Program would make sure she did not loose her job IF she did have a problem. That evening after work she came by and asked for the forms to request a medical leave of absence.

When I left the company she gave me a huge hug. She had been clean and sober for nearly 3 years.

I keep an Open Door policy at my house for family and friends (even friends of friends). My doors always open weather you just want to talk , need something to eat or even a warm bed for awhile if your in need. I find that there's always someone in need and this is just my way of helping out.

I can't think of one thing in particular. I do a lot of nice things. Most recently, I climbed on my neighbor's porch roof to get a shoe that someone threw on it. She was worried and wanted it down so I went up and got it.

I resisted beating the hell out of the last homeless wino that panhandled me.

Seriously, I've changed flat tires for several old ladies.
