The word is MEDAL not METAL.
The battle of the Bulge was supposed to be a lightning fast attack through the American lines all the way to Antwerp port city (still in German hands) and surrounded by the Allies.
As the Germans were short on fuel they thought they would be able to use American fuel dumps but many were destroyed, the Germans ran out of fuel for their tanks and vehicles, the fog and overcast lifted allowing the Allied air-cover to return and pick off the German vehicles, with their Armour out of fuel vehicles destroyed, the Germans had no choice to retreat or surrender.
At a time when German war material and supplies including men were in short supply the material lost during the battle of the bulge by the Germans could never be replaced.
Which in turn seriously hampered the fighting capability of the German Armed forces on the Western Front.

Well, the battle proved that we DIDN'T quite have them on the run all the way back to Germany, didn't it? The Battle of the Bulge was a major, last-ditch, offensive by the Germans. It was massive, well-planned, in the middle of the winter, and much, much larger than anything the Allies imagined the Germans could pull off at that time. The Allied lines were stretched thin, as they were trying to do too much at once, and the Germans just bulldozed right down the middle of their lines, isolating many units, and splitting the Allied forces. Patton said what he did because he knew that this was their final, last-ditch effort, and ultimately the Allies would overcome the offensive and the Germans would be done for. But the massive and desperate nature of this battle naturally resulted in high casualties on both side.
Your question is a little vague. I hope this helped answer it for you!

have you ever considered the emphasis the media and Hollywood places on the evils and atrocities committed with the help of the Germans and Nazis in the Holocaust? This ought to be because of the fact the entertainment industry is largely controlled with the help of a Jewish inhabitants who prefer to engrave the horror of the Holocaust in each and every human beings innovations. i'm not deeming this could be a undesirable element; they do try this rightfully so, what became committed against their human beings became somewhat incorrect. This has constantly been my concept. it appears like the jap are stated each and every now and then (Pearl Harbor the movie, working example), yet on the grounds that individuals are so some distance far flung from jap subculture and its effect on the chinese language in WWII, there is not a lot suggestion on that that the american everybody is brazenly uncovered to. The media is a innovations controller... awesomely effectual.

The carnage happened because the Germans kept pouring troops and materials into Bastogne and the Allies kept pouuring troops and materials into the fight and that is why they called it the "Battle of the Bulge" because it resembled the bulge in a snake after it has swallowed a big meal... There was just a huge buildup of a lot of troops and materials into a small area.

I'm not sure what you mean. The germans attacked our forces as they advanced across Europe, this was after the battle for the Ardennes forest (some viewed as the most crucial victory in the war), the Germans knew they needed to break our lines or it was all over. They attacked, we held on, and the rest is history.

The Battle of the Bulge was the last German offensive. They were attempting to break through the allied lines in the middle of winter. It was a last ditch effort to avoid the inevidible allied push into Germany. Of course troops were killed. the fighting was very intense.

In every war that has ever been fought we have had the pacifists. America had dissenters in World War 2. I'm sure they thought America's reaction to Pearl Harbor was "unbalanced".
