First, I have 2 basic premises.

1.) God, The Creator, is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent. He existed before all else and is eternal.

2.) Jesus is God -- whether you believe in the trinity or a mere duality, Jesus and God are one in the same. Or perhaps you believe God and Jesus are equivalent but not identical (this is a less common belief).

Based on the above, God took human form by impregnating the virgin, Mary, with the Holy Spirit and was born by her. He was destined to grow up and be The Christ, Jesus.

As Jesus, God performed many miracles and fulfilled the prophesies of Jewish scripture. This culminated in his crucifixion, burial and resurrection. This "sacrifice" was for the express purpose of redeeming mankind from sin.

Here's the crux of the question.

If God took human form, followed his own plan, died and "resurrected himself" -- where's the risk, the loss, the suffering, the humanity? HE'S GOD TO BEGIN WITH! The end was never in question. No sacrifice.

All of you who are church-going Christians of whatever denomination AND who claim that Jesus is NOT God, need to speak to your priest or preacher, or read up on the doctrine of your particular denomination. I don't know of ANY Christian denomination that maintains that Jesus is NOT God. Most denominations, in their doctrines, specifically proclaim belief in The Trinity. Check it out! Don't take my word for it.

Those of you who say Jesus was God's son need to clarify whether or not this makes them equals. If Jesus is the son of God, is he then a God too?

J.A. , Your presumption that Jesus was God in human flesh therefore He cannot have suffered any loss, pain nor risk from being scourged, tortured, whipped etc., as God already knows the end from the beginning is grossly flaw.

Jesus indeed was God, the Word made flesh and he dweel amongst us (men). He was full God and fully man but he lay aside His Godhood and learn obedience by suffering as a man. Living as a man like you and I going through the daily temptations and yet without once sin and most of all he was willing to takes on the whole of Man's sins, sickenesses, disseases upon himself when he was at nailed on the crosss. Lastly, you are right in that God cannot died but He willingly lay down his life when he cried. "Father into your hands I commit my Spirit when he was on the Cross. The Scripture say He gave up his Spirit.

Earlier, the disciples heard him says, "No man can takes my life from Me, The Son of Man have the power to lay it down and to take it up again"

If you are not bias and if you are sincerely searching, you can read the Bible descriptions of the events that leads to the Cross-you will find Jesus never used His Godly qualities when confronting His impending death on the Cross. He went through the whole ordeal as a human being and only as a human being can He qualified to takes our place or else there will not be justification of our sins nor will there be any redemption of Man from their fallen state.

In fact the scripture pronounced that not only did Jesus died for our Sins , diseases and sicknesses but our death too!

Jesus did all these so that Man can be restored back as sons of God , destined to reign and rule over all of God's creation as joint heir with Christ. What Adam lost was just ruling as King on Earth over all of God's creation on earth but when Christ came and took back the Rulership from satan, He not only causes Man to reign as Kings on earth but over the universe - the handiworks of His hands and all of creations.

The risk is will God in Human form. Jesus followed through God's Plan throughout His 33 and half years on earth without a single ocassion where He would disobey God's Will but refusing to suffers the humuliation at the hands of His created creatures, men and fallen angel or the devil ?

Imagine you in His place as God , do you think you can make it without exerting your rightful sovereignty as God over your creation.?

There were many times, where Jesus stop his disciples from acting man's ways in resolving the threats to his life by saying , "Know you not that I can at a instant sent legions of angels to protect Me if I want to ?"

The Loss, in a moment in time and space, at the Cross, He loss the presence of God and was separate from Him because Jesus was a man bearing our sins, sicknesses, diseases and death. God have to turn His back away from Him. Can you imagine that ? No you can't you weren't with God eternally from the beginning and can never ever appreciate that.

I hope it does make some sense to you and I ask you to continue your search for truth . If you are sincere, God will be showing up sooner than you expect !

Christ was there with God when all of creation as we know it was created, He can attest to everything that God has made. Clear back in Genesis when men fell, the fact that Christ would soon be sent as an offering for all of mankind's sins past, present and future was mentioned then. Roman cruxificition was the cruelest form of death and excrusiating pain was not known until that time. Your crux of the question is the same as some of the people who watched it happen at the time that it happened. The importance will be when the false one will try to imitate it, and doesn't actually die, and doesn't actually come back to life but it will be a counterfeit.

Sin is the sting of death but with the sacrifice, victory over the sting of death!

Jesus and "God" are not exactly one and the same. Jesus is the Son of God the Father. However they are coequal and coeternal.

When God the Son took on human form as Jesus, He also took on human nature. Obviously crucifixion must have been very painful, but it would have unimaginably more sowith all the sins of the world, past present and to come, on His shoulders.

Also, there was the sacrifice that God the Father made, of His only begotten Son, for the salvation of the world.

God chose Abraham and tested Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Isaac to him. Had Abraham refused (and God knowing all things, knew he wouldn't) then Jesus Christ would not have been possible. Why did he have to suffer? Because he had invested himself into mankind's righteousness with his Father (the Ancient of Days). Once in man's history the Earth was destroyed by water, because the evil of men was so great, that it dominates good by the sword. Good men die. That is the way of the world. Being invested into Noah's righteousness, the Lord knew that the Devil's intent was to see him sin by ending the existence of even good men by being brought to wrath by the bad men that dominate the earth. The Lord won that spiritual battle by saving the one good thing left. A particular family. Knowing that the Devil constantly accuses men of wrong doing, The Lord enacted his plan to ensnare the Devil in a final defeat. The Lord would not allow the Devil to destroy men or cause him to wrong a good man. He divised that his heavenly Father (the Ancient of Days) would be angry with the Devil if the Devil would sin against him. So The Lord planted himself into a family. Abraham's seed. You see, no man was worthy of The Father's attention because they all were full of sin. So, the Lord planted himself into a people and they were his people and at the proper time he lowered (a little lower than the Angels, as it says) himself to be born of a Virgin mother. He did not sin his entire life. The Father was attentive of the whole affair. By the Devil's deceit. He was killed and the Devil was cast out of heaven. Christ scored a spiritual victory over Hell(death) and was found worthy of ascension into Heaven. He now is defined as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. His title with his Father was magnified for his carnal righteousness. This is why he suffered, because he was truly innocent in the Devil's world. The Devil didn't think he could do it. The Devil was wrong.

You are forgetting that Jesus prayed TO the Father, CRIED OUT to the Father, God spoke from the Heaven's saying this is my Son..."; and so on...

Are you suggesting that God was just "play acting" as Jesus? Threw His Voice? Then why didn't satan whom tried to temp Jesus in the wilderness not know that that was God? Demons know whom God is and whom is Jesus and will not SPEAK of the Holy Spirit...they and satan know each very well...don't you think they would have "used" that info?

I knew God before I knew Jesus...God taught me His Book of Truth and when it was time to start the New Testament, He told me He wanted me to KNOW HIS SON TOO.

God has never lied nor misled me.

God is God. Jesus is Jesus. The Holy Spirit is God's Holy Ghost.

They all are in AGREEMENT...of SAME MIND about the world and mankind and satan, etc.,. So, ALL being in AGREEMENT, they are AS ONE.

You can reach God through Jesus, or you can reach Jesus through God....the Jews (as I did) will reach Jesus through God....many of the Gentiles will reach God through Jesus....

Peace be with you :)

**I still do not have a church of any denomination, My church is the body of Christ and whomever the Lord places in my path to fellowship with, and, do not have a "Pastor" except for the Lord...He already knows about this though, so that's no problem, lol

You, however, need to go to God for answers and not "man" for the FINAL answer. Peace :)

The whole story is deformed and twisted. Like the other stories told by the chosen few it has a lot to be settled. Just think about this why would the creator of all that exist bother with one small planet? When if you look in the sky you could never count the trillions of Suns, planets, and other life forms that exist. If you take the time to read your bible instead of letting someone read it to you you will find the statement (God is no respector of persons) So what does that tell you??? There are about 1200 religions and each has its tales to tell and each is true?? to the followers so who is right???

Christianity believes a fundamental truth that our flesh is full of sin and rebellion against God. I come from a background of "Jesus-only" believers.

Jesus was 100% God according to scriptures, but He also had a rebellious flesh that rebelled against His divine nature. This is why he prayed in the garden. His flesh was unwilling to submit. The difference between Him and us: He never failed... We constantly fail. This is why we need Him to pour out His spirit on us, to help us overcome like Him. There was sacrifice.

God was consistently trying to show his form before humanity. He revealed himself as an ark, fire from heaven, etc.. etc...

God finally came down in a form we could relate to, and gave it all up for us.

Jesus is the Son mate not the Father if you read properly there was a seperation between Father and Son on the Cross that was the sacrifice. He took on every filthy sin that has ever been commited. I dont think anyone could understand heavy it was.

The reason being was that Satan had control over man under the power of sin...because the spiritual princble of sin = Death not phsyical death enternal death.

Imagine being God and now you have to endure all the challenges and the limitations of the human body. I think that's almost like sticking a size 12 foot in a size 8 shoe. It's a BIG deal of suffering.

god is the powerfull, jesus is under god power, he doesn't have God father. As for the suffering, he suffer on the cross and was raised. but it this means that Jesus is son of God?
We all are the creation of God, this make us his children too.
how can you tell the difference between Jesus and other prophets? they all suffer in way or another, so can you give me an explanation is God Men or Women? He OR she? if he made Jesus, did he make love to marry?
It's very confusing, all I think of is that God made everything on this planet, I can't tell if Jesus is regular prophet who come by special way or something else.
I am very open to discussion her
