You have to be a person of exceptional faith. Many saints are not even catholic, they are men and women who best represent the "will of god". Basically you just have to be extremely devoted and generally you have to act in an extra ordinary manner.
Granted this is not always the case. many early saints have very questionable places in the realm of saint hood, some saints even descend from pagan beliefs.
Any one can be a saint, There have been priests, monks, soldiers, rich, poor, Popes, sailors, kings, queens, nuns, some make great personal sacrifices others simply spread the word of god.
The three miracles after death is a new invention, it was only introduced when people being canonized started to fly out of control. Before then it was basically as easy as saying "This person is now a saint." and it became dogma.

Keep the commandments, and do it heroically. Be persecuted or killed for your belief. Die in a state of GRACE. They do an investigation into the Saints life with a pro and con arguement. One person will advocate the Saint and another person or group will play "devil's advocate" against the Potential Saint. The must have proved they lived a virtuous life in some way heroically . .. Ultimately we do know that GOD makes Saints . .. therefore there are certain other requirements of faith . .. for instance i had heard there was the requirement that it must rain on the day of their funeral . .. sometimes the flesh may remain incorrupted on the body . .. other miracles of this sort that tell us that the person is a Saint and is in HEAVEN . .. I suppose being carried off to HEAVEN in fiery chariot and a whirlwind would be a dead give away . . . but typically they die and then people want to know so they investigate this thoroughly looking for signs and clues as to what became of them . ..
LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.

...A true saint is one who has trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation - when "saints" is used in Scripture, it is talking about Christian believers, observe in Romans 1:
"to all who are beloved of God, called saints" and this is carried on throughout the New Testament.

Depends on what position you are trying for. Usually they will have try out days right before mini camp, that anyone can go down and try to walk on the team. You have to be in superior physical shape to even be considered.

Practice justice, perform acts of righteousness and loving-kindness, tell the truth, and pray to G-d.
Nothing to do about miracles.
