Just as your physical response time will decrease, your mind becomes less "quick" to respond, as well. When you don't slow down to sleep, your body (and mind) will "rebel" in their own ways.

Many adverse reactions will occur with a lack of sleep. Emotionally, you will be easily agitated. You may experience a "surplus" of emotion when something happens (i.e. you will cry more than usual or simple happiness will become estatic elation.

Physically, you will be exhaused and your reaction time will be delayed (just as if you were under the influence of a drug). Your facial features will become distorted (bags under the eyes, oily complexion, blood-shot eyes). Eventually, if it continues, you body will force you to sleep.

Emotionally, you get cranky, easily frustrated and easily enraged.

Physically, your body does not get the rest it needs to maintain, repair and defend your body from all the toxins, stress and illnesses you come in contact with each day. Sleep deprivation also effects your reasoning, agility and other thought processes. It is a major cause of high speed auto accidents.

Take care of your self!! you only get one life and one body!

quite a bit acturally. you need a decent amount of sleep to function. if not it does cause physical and emotional trouble. it causes you to not think straight. make poor decisions. can make you fall asleep at the wheel. makes your emmune system poor. which in turn causes illness.
