Yes. In the UK we have the "Little Owl". This small owl was introduced to the UK in the 19th century. It can be seen in the daylight, usually perching on a tree branch, telegraph pole or rock."Little Owls" owls are the smallest British owl and are closely related to the American burrowing owl.

Little owls and short-eared owls are often active in the daytime in the UK. Owls’ eye colour can give an indication as to its activity time. An owl with very dark eyes is normally active at night (nocturnal), an owl with yellow eyes is active during the day (diurnal), and an owl with orange eyes is active at dawn and dusk (crepuscular). There are some exceptions to this though.

There are about 148 different species of owl in the world and about 30 of those are strictly nocturnal. Most Owls are competant hunters in day or night. The snowy owl for examle live in ares where you get six months of solid day then six months of solid night. If this owl could only fly at night it would have to starve for six months of the year.
The reason some owls are nocturnal is because thier prey base is mostly active ar night.

Yes. More than one.
"The Snowy Owl is a large, diurnal white Owl" http://www.owlpages.com/owls.php?genus=bubo&species=scandiacus
"The Northern Hawk Owl is a very "high latitude" owl that is found around the world in the northern hemisphere. It is a diurnal owl (active in the daytime) and very bold."
http://www.owling.com/Northern_Hawk.htm
"Short-eared Owl: these diurnal owls were once abudnant on Sea Island," http://www.geog.ubc.ca/richmond/city/owls.html
Of these, I have seen both the Snowy Owl and the Short Eared Owl. The Snowy Owls were just sitting on the ground or in a low tree branch every time I saw them, but I have seen Short Eared Owls hunting during the daylight hours.

yes and there is a few. not all of them are night owls, you can tell by their eyes. If their full black then they are night owls, some are dark with a huge golden-like ring around them which are dawn and evening owls. I've got one barn owl who is a night owl and my dads got two Europeon Eagle owls who are dawn owls because of their eyes.
I think that a short eared ow l is a day owl and so is the long-eared owl. Is a snowy owl a day?
youve got me wantin' to read about it now...
