First of all, I am sorry for whatever happened you.

Secondly, I would like to ask you to take courage and face your situation head-on. Do not be shy over something that just happened beyond your control or for whatever reason. Consider it a past that has nothing to do with your future.

As to your question, I would say we are all not the same. Some men will listen, sympathize with you and do something while others will walk away to use the information against you. Probably you need to know your man well to confide with him. That is if you are not sure of whom you are dealing with.

Have you thought of seeing a professional counselor?.

Maybe there is need for you to see one.

Wish you all the best.

I've dated someone that was hurt before emotionally and physically. She eventually forgot her bad relationship as we continued dating and became more relaxed. I couldn't do anything to help her. She had to do that on her own. I usually don't like to put up with shy and scared women because it's a pain to get a relationship going. The girl I mentioned before we were actually friends before we started dating so I wasn't trying to start something new. just tell the guy you're getting over some stuff in your life and it will take time for you to be romantically involved. if he doesn't want to stick through it, then he sucks.

Well if this guy is wonderful then he will be totally and utterly sympathetic and support you from your 'tragedies'. If i knew and liked you I would want you to feel supported and cared for - I would try to help you through whatever the problems are - that is the point of a good relationship.

Well, if she's been through tragedies, I'd help her through it but keep in mind that dating is not her top priority at the moment. I wouldn't pursue her, though... I'd find another date. But I wouldn't just leave you... I'd be a friend at least.

I think i would be her friend, let her develop her own way of trusting me to the point where she will be comfortable enough with me and let me in,only then will it be possible to help her through it.I believe if she doesnt trust me,she wont even let me help her.If my feelings for her are deep,i would not walk away from her

Every guy will have a different answer.
The guy who stays and helps you work through your issues is the one you want. But don't just use him to help you through hard times and then dump him...make sure you have feelings for him too.

be cool...
