In the Bible sense a disciple is one trained to do as and what Jesus did in a ministry related work as ones health and age allowed .Main focus being the preaching of the Good News of Gods Kingdom over Earth as in Heaven including the fulfilment of a promise to have the whole Earth a living Paradise populated with worshippers living in total fulfilment ,and all angels (heavenly ones) being pleased to rejoicing with the outcome.

The Greek word (mathetes) that is translated "disciples" in the Bible means 'learner' and denotes 'one who follows one's teaching'…. A 'disciple' was not only a pupil, but an adherent; hence they are spoken of as imitators of their teacher." So a disciple of Jesus Christ follows His example: 1 Peter 2:21.

The word disciple is used today as a way of self-identification for those who seek to learn from Christianity.

they are the followers of Jesus Christ, they obey his commands and seek the heavenly rather the earthly. They give up for God's sake, they take up thier cross daily. Means there is a battle of doing right vs doing wrong. Time to say no, rather yes, and a time to say yes rather no. To walk as a embassador of your Saviour, for he is not his own, he is bought with a price. He a man that will tell others, if obt to teach them the way of Christ.

They are like the Jedi of Star Wars, the younger ones are not able to fight the more advanced enemies, so in the movie they had to train to get to that level, either by following someone who was adept at it, or by much training....

Same thing spiritually, you need to learn from someone who is well versed and trained in Godliness, so that the disciple will learn from him/her.....

I just finished watching Star Wars, so that is a good example, but let yourself wander by yourself, and you will fall to the dark side, it is a very true movie in how one might be great by oneself, but alone, you are vulnerable to temptation......Aniken should have listened to Ben.....
