I have been writing music for years. I have been told that my music is pretty good and everyone likes to listen to it. Trouble is I hardly ever perform it because I'm not that type of person. I'm not into performing or being on stage but like the fact people like my music. I would like to sell my music to record companies for their artists to use. Is this possible?

It IS possible. Many of the songs you hear on the radio were not written by the artist that sings them. The bad news is that it is hard to get your material heard. First thing you need to do (if you haven't already done so) is copyright your music. Go to the Library of Congress website and follow the instructions.. pretty easy. Then go to a book store or Amazon and pick yourself up the latest copy of "The songwriters market"... has a huge amount of labels and publishers info, how to submit songs, ect. Send copies of your stuff to every one listed that will accept subimssions! Also, you might want to check out www.taxi.com........ you have to pay for a membership, but this company DOES place songs into BIG lables' hands! Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even better, start cashing in on 'everyone' who says that your music is good and make some contacts in the music industry. It's not what you can do so much as it is who you know so that someone inside can hear what you do.
Smooze with people and get them to introduce you to people and so on.

Good luck.
