My daughter (13) has just recieved her progress report for year 8. With the National Average being level 5, she has attained 6c in Geography, Science and History with an additional 5c in Design Technology and 5b in French.

The 6's being the average for the year above and sublevel c being higher than level a....so regardless to say I'm a very proud Dad and though she is over the moon....she's taking it in her stride as "no big deal". Wow!

With these topics in mind, what sort of career could she aspire to. Is there a site or organisation that would match her achievements with possible careers?

Congratulations! Your daughter would not achieve those grades if you were not a good parent. So congratulations to you too. Yes, there are in fact many career planning sites.

Career planning is a deliberate process of knowing WHO we are so that we can be sure WHERE we want to go or WHAT we want to be at some defined point in the future. It involves an analysis of career/job options that are new to you. Career analysis is based on accurate, valid and timely information from --- reading, interviewing primary resources persons and direct observation of those persons while doing their job.

Job Hunters Bible - My favorite. I have taught their system to hundreds of people with great results. Richard N. Bolles, America's dean of Career Consultants, heads the company and is also the author of the book, 'What Color Is Your Parachute.' This book should be available in your public library.

Its no good thinking to much about that now- Kids change so much between now and leaving school. All of my three went through this stage with so many different aspirations and all three did different to what they originally planned. When your daughter gets to her last two years at school she will be given 'options'- she will choose the subjects she wants to do- her careers advisor at school will see her (you can go as well) and discuss possible careers with her according to what subjects she is good at or excelling in. At this age they may do well in one subject one year, but to coin a teenagers phrase, pants the next. The key thing to note here is that this is your daughter's future and she should be making the decision as to what she wants to be- has she any ideas herself what she would like to do- we cannot have our kids live our dreams because they just don't! What she wants today she may not tomorrow- because thats teenagers.

Why do you not pass alongside to study Direct - they're going to open an entire field of opportunities for you. I say this on the grounds which you do not say what your good field is. additionally as you have little ones how approximately instructors help assistant - then you relatively could have the holiday journeys loose if that needs to be the case. I took on an entire new occupation in my Nineteen Thirties doing domicile help complete time - relatively enjoyed this artwork and moved up the ladder suited away. purely an determination at this point, in spite of decission you're making i wish it relatively works out for you and yours. One final little bit of suggestion - stay far flung from scams I dont anticipate i'd desire to tell you that they don't look to be all what they look.
