Some routes are troublesome.
But overall good system.

Good? I live in NYC. I would have to say that our public transportation is among the best.

Hampton Roads sucks they've been talking about light-rail for the last 15 years and the cities can't agree on a plan. Turns out that only one of the 7 cities will have light-rail, which will probably end up being like 2 routes, if that. The bus system has like over 100 routes but for whatever reason you're still stuck waiting hours for the bus to come by. You don't want to come here stay in Seattle.

Nobody wants the inconvience, and no one wants to pay for transportation, public or otherwise. If they ever break ground on light-rail in Norfolk I'd expect to see it around 2015, at the earliest, on a good day. Seattle has a more sophisticated system in general, multi-level roads, a complex highway system and more options for public transporation. The only other multi-level roads I've heard of are in Chicago I could be wrong about that.

I live in the Phoenix area, in a large suburb (250,000 pop.) SE of the city. There is no public transportation in the city I live in. The closest bus stop to my house is 8 miles away. If I got to the bus stop, it id a 2 hr ride to where I work, with 4 transfers. They are in the process of building a light rail system, but I won't benefit from it. There are 4.5 million people in the metro area, with probably the worst mass transit of any large city in the US.

Good thing I own a car, SUV and a motorcycle.
