mairin... who the h ell do you think you are judging me like that!!!? no one EVER said that i was going to leave her outside alone!!! Maybe you should sound less like a dumbass and not assume.

Go to the website for the electric fence.
I believe it says they can be set at various levels of intensity.
The dogs that don't do well with this fencing are large breeds with lots and lots of fur.

You should not be leaving a 5 pound dog of any type outside alone!!! There are all sorts of predators just waiting for supper and your little Yorkie would be prime for snatching. I have heard of small dogs being carried away by hawks, not to mention neighborhood dogs or even a vicious cat. I don't know where you live but how about coyotes. Heck even bears have been coming into cities these days. So really stand outside with that little one while she goes potty... for goodness sakes how long does it take of your time 10 - 15 minutes??? If you don't have that little bit of time to spend with her why on earth did you get her. So don't get a dumb shocking fence that might harm her.. and would certainly distress her.. stand outside and protect her yourself.

Electric fences are cruel. If another animal gets in yours can't get away. If by chance your dog gets out, then it can't get back in. Besides that you don't zap little dogs or even big ones!!! Some rescues will not allow an adoption to happen if you have an electric fence. Get a real fence.

In the FAQ's at the web site (see below) for Invisible Fence, they indicate it can be used with any breed.

Those POS "invisible" fences are *ALL* useless,expensive & DANGEROUS ***CRAP***!!!
Don't stop anything/anybody from coming ***IN*** & KILLING /STEALING the g-d thing!
Get a REAL FENCE!
