Just read in a book about building an electric car that 19 pounds of CO2 are generated for every gallon of gas burned.

CO2 Emission depends on the fuel used, combustion mode, Oxygen (Air) content and the combustion time.
These factors determines the CO2 level.
Normally CO2 is measured as gram/Kilometer in atmosphere.

There is no common multiple but by chemical reaction on combustion.
I hope that i explained ur doubt.

Depends on the type of fuel used. If it is pure carbon, all of it is converted into CO2, but that is not the case with hydrocarbons, wood etc.
