Why do people believe in the Bible or the Quran or anything else religion-related for that matter? It's all been proven false. People just need a crutch to latch onto when they're so deep in the closet they can't possibly try to seek actual answers in life.

The link you provided is a link that actually supports reincarnation while trying to deny it at the same time. It clearly is saying that the soul after the body has decayed from use enough leaves to find another body to go into. The whole argument is based off one thing, that the soul doesnt exist. But if that is true then how would you know what your beliefs are, know what love is true love, know right from wrong, etc.. to deny the soul is to deny a good part of what makes you you. Sure religions are formed off the basis of a soul but just because someone cant open up your body and see your soul(literally) doesnt mean it doesnt exist. The soul does exist, or else people would have found it if it didnt and the world religions would collapse, because then there would be no basis in them. They are formed through the notion of a divine being and a soul. Both are needed and both are present, to deny the soul is to deny the divine beings.

I've heard other people say this, so I know it must mean something, I'm just not sure what. I don't remember a life before this one even though I remember being very young in my present life. In particular, I have visual memories of being one year or less old, but nothing before that. I would think I would have a good chance of remembering a past life if I can remember being a baby. It is fairly amazing to me that a person is capable of taking such a hard stance on something about religion without disputing the whole thing. That's remarkable and uncommon. I would like if you could extend that kind of fairness to other people's experiences (or lack thereof) with past lives. Maybe some people had them and some didn't. More experience for you!

science can perhaps disprove specific claims of reincarnation but it's hard to see how it could disprove it outright. like many religious ideas there's no support for it in science - there is no scientific reason to suspect that reincarnation happens - but by its nature it can't be disproved. if the memory of past life is kind of vague, it must be because oh the soul had a difficult journey or something - there is always a way out for the true believer.

"Sri Ramana Maharshi: Reincarnation exists only so long as there is ignorance. There is really no reincarnation at all, either now or before. Nor will there be any hereafter. This is the truth."

I would distrust anyone who feels the need to tell me that what they have just said is the truth. either it is true or not, and not because they have said it. adding that they have said truth sounds redundant and kind of desperate.

well i always suspected that i would find hindu arguments just as objectionable as christian ones. now i know!

Has science proved RESURRECTION as many scientists and well -educated people in the west are christians ?
Has nt science proived that matter is indestructible ? Has science disproved it ? what is matter is composed of ? Isi not elements ? what are the elements composed of ? are they not electron and proton mainly and nuetron.? Are there any difference between the elctron pof one element and another ? when the body of a man is dead what happens to the body? Are nothe elements decompse and mix woith the soil and change into somany vegetation , creatures ? Are not those vegetatioin and creatures eaten by so many other beings which are eaten by other beings including the humans ?The what becomes of the dead body of a man now ? Is any capapble of disproving this statement of a layman?
What do you rmean by reincarnatiuon.?One coming back to live in the same man as in his previous birtth is not re-incarnation. It is assumig different lives and creastures in the next birth that is called re-incarnation.
It is just a biological recycling .Which science has disproved it ?Has any science proved that the dead matter of a body simply vanishes and and go to heaven to be applied to the bones of the man to whom the dead flesh belonged as stated in the Bible and Koran?
Has any science proved that matter is destructible ?
It is the Hidu philosophy hat told he world several thousands of years ago that matter never gets destroyed - long ans long before the modern scientists could say that as an a discovery.

My dear friend, subtle secrets of the universe cannot be proved by scientific means discovered with human intelligence. In order to understand about re-incarnation you have to know what is your true identity. If somebody will ask your name you will give a name that have been given for your body. But truly who you are or we are? We are not this body made of 5 elements but we are the driving force, which is situating in this body. Without the existance of this driving force, no matter how perfect it may be, the body is of no use right? So the driving force, otherwise called "atma" or soul is our true identity.

The soul take support of a physical body, in order to enact its role on the world drama stage. Once it finishes its character role it will leave the old body and take a new one in order to settle the "Karmic Account" or to fullfill its unsolved desires. Every time the soul leaves a body, all the actions that have done through that physical body would have been recorded on it and according to that account only it can take another body. Our relationships also determined according to the "Karmic Bondage" that we created from our previous life. " A soul take birth in a fortunate atmosphere is not because of the mercy or gift of God, but it is reaping the reward of actions from its previous life(s).

My brother what stated above are 100% truth. If you don't believe please send me answer for the following questions in "kutoos971208@yahoo.co.in

1. If God almighty is the creator and we are the creations, why some of us become fortunate have health, wealth, relationships and others take birth in misseries and orphans.

2. Why some of the souls showing extraordinary brilliance or talents in their too early stages (Like mosart)

3. Why the values in life is deteriorating day by day despite the number of worshippers are increasing in an alarming rate in all religions.

Thank you for your answer

oh yes that line of semantic acrobatics.

if you think the page you listed means that theres no reincarnation, then you missed the point.

all of that as far as I can tell really is just a huge amount of trying to attach words to something that isn't really wordable.

its basically trying to explain the nature of it in words, while avoiding the baggage that people attach to the words more commonly used.

you don't turn into a new person each birthday, things change with each year, but your still the same entity. its the same thing. its just that due to the fact that so many people erroniously attach too much meaning to their current incarnation they put too much distinction between their incarnations, and thus see it as separate births/rebirths/whatever when really its just a chain of events, like birthdays, just... over a much greater scale.

Science (Whatever that is supposed to be) has not taken up such an investigation as far as I know.

The questioner has missed Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi's intent by a light year.

To answer the question as asked; Probably such believers in rebirth are not scientists.

This is ironic to see that the people who believe in god and other supernatural things demand “evidence” from the people who oppose it but they themselves are not ready to give “evidence” for their own clams. Only thing I can see in these answers here is a logical fallacy called “argumentum ad ignorantiam”. Absence of evidence is not an evidence of absence.

Reincarnation has never been proved or disproved by science and in order to clam some thing like this you should provide real scientific sources i.e. scientific research published in scientific journals.

Nonsense! Please read below.

Changing Bodies

LCFL Life Comes From Life
Dr. Singh. People want more proof.
Srila Prabhupada. What more is required? The eternality of the soul is a simple fact. I am an eternal soul. My body is changing, but I am not changing. For example, I am now an old man. Sometimes I think, "Oh, I used to jump and play, but now I cannot jump because my body has changed." I want to jump, but I cannot do it. That jumping propensity is eternal, but because of my old body I cannot do it.
Dr. Singh. Opponents will say that according to their observation, the nature of consciousness is that it lasts for only one body.
Srila Prabhupada. That is foolishness. In Bhagavad-gita (2.13) Krsna explains:

dehino 'smin yatha dehe
kaumaram yauvanam jara
tatha dehantara-praptir
dhiras tatra na muhyati

"As the embodied soul continually passes, in this body, from boyhood to youth to old age, the soul similarly passes into another body at death. The self-realized soul is not bewildered by such a change." Just as this body is always changing (as I can see in my daily experience), there is a similar change at the time of death.
Dr. Singh. But according to the scientists, we cannot actually observe this last change.
Srila Prabhupada. Their eyes are so imperfect that they cannot observe many, many things. Their ignorance does not make the Bhagavad-gita unscientific. Why don't the scientists admit the imperfection of their senses? They must first admit the imperfection of their senses. Their seeing power does not determine what is and what is not science. Dogs cannot understand the laws of nature. Does that mean the laws of nature don't exist?
Dr. Singh. Well, the scientists admit that argument, but they say the way to become perfect is through objective information and experience.
Srila Prabhupada. No. That is not the way to become perfect. No one can become perfect through imperfect thinking, and our thinking must be imperfect because our senses and minds are imperfect.
Dr. Singh. Srila Prabhupada, another question can be raised. is it not possible that the soul may accept three, four or five bodies and then die?
Srila Prabhupada. You are accepting millions of bodies. I say that your body of yesterday is not your body of today. So, if you live for one hundred years, how many times have you changed bodies? Just calculate.
Dr. Singh. Thirteen.
Srila Prabhupada. Why thirteen?
Dr. Singh. Medical science says that all the bodily cells are replaced every seven years.
Srila Prabhupada. No, not every seven years--every second. Every second, the blood corpuscles are changing. Is it not so?
Dr. Singh. Yes.
Srila Prabhupada. And as soon as the blood corpuscles change, you change your body.
Dr. Singh. In scientific terminology, can the eternality of the soul be compared to conservation of energy?
Srila Prabhupada. There is no question of the conservation of energy, because energy is always existing.
Dr. Singh. But according to scientific terminology, the law of conservation of energy is that energy cannot be created or destroyed, which means, I think, that it is eternal.
Srila Prabhupada. Oh, yes, that we admit. Krsna is eternal; therefore all His energies are eternal.
Dr. Singh. Is that why the living entity is also eternal?
Srila Prabhupada. Yes. If the sun is eternal, its energies--heat and light--are also eternal.
Dr. Singh. Does it follow from this, then, that life cannot be created or destroyed?
Srila Prabhupada. Yes. Life is eternal. It is not created or destroyed. It is only temporarily covered. I am eternal, but last night I was covered by sleep, so I think in terms of yesterday and today. This is the condition of the material world.

Science has proved that a lot things people believe in are false. But their delusions are to ingrained for them to believe science over whatever mythology that is deluding them.
However reincarnation is one of the few theories that can actually be proven true.
