Yes, I too, smoke and know by my breathing test that I can no longer breath right. Some times I wake up hardly able to take a breath. I think when we fall asleep our heart slows down. We could be close to having a heart attack. And we both need to quit. I am taking Chantrix a pill that has to do with the dopamine in the brain, that curbs my smoking slowly. After another week I should be able to quit.
Good luck as quitting may give us a few more years to live.

I think you should go to the doc as it could be an infection that requires antibiotics but chances are it could just be your smoking catching up with you.
Why not give up! For yourself, no one else.
My dad always said he would never give up smoking after smoking for over 30 years. He said he simply enjoyed it too much. Well last year he just decided one day to stop. He hasn't had a cigarette for 1 year and 3 months.
He feels and appears much healthier.

sorry to hear about your problem, this sounds more like bronchospasms then bronchitis, and most likely its due to cold, but ciggarate smoking aggreviates it. i suggest you should see a doctor to rule out asthma or allergic bronchospasms and try to avoid cold and ciggaretes. get well soon.
