I think the pope mobile was really designed to keep him inside of it. That way he couldn't get his hands on any young boys while in public. He's the Pope Daddy!

I wonder how many young kids the Pope Daddy is pimpin' to keep his life of luxury. I guess Pope Daddy keeps plenty of defenceless boys available to the clergy. You know how they like seeing young alter boys in compromising positions...

You should read the book or watch the DVD doco called .....The conscientious objector.... About the Congressional Medal of Honor winner who refused to carry a weapon into battle in WW2.
Desmond T Doss.. He was a true Christian. Went into the worst battles of WW2 against the Japanese as a medic, armed only with a Bible and a great faith in God. His valor and courage under intense fire, even while badly wounded are an inspiration.
He makes the Pope look like a coward.

The reason for the bulletproof vehicle is because he is the spiritual and political (small influence) leader for over a billion people. It is standard protection for any world leader to ensure that they can live long and be able to do what they can for the world.Someone who lives in Luxury could care for the poor, in fact they are expected to because of the amount of wealth they have accumulated. The rich are in a much better position to aid the people below them (econimicaly speaking) and do what they can to make things better. Its a basic belief in all three major monotheistic faiths that most of the world follow, and is also in countless other religions, including paganism.

No t being afraid to die does not mean that you take suicidal risks. So I think your question is a bit of a none-starter.Anyone in a high profile situation must take sensible precautions and the Pope is doing just that

Stone is right, and the pope is the MOST important person among the Christians and he is like a symbol to them. But we do not know if he is afraid or not to die. I believe he is not afraid.

Matthew 4:5-7 states:

Then the devil took him to the holy city, and made him stand on the parapet of the temple, and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written: 'He will command his angels concerning you and 'with their hands they will support you, lest you dash your foot against a stone.'"

Jesus answered him, "Again it is written, 'You shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test.'"

There are a lot of crazy people out there so the Pope likewise uses his God-given common sense and does not put God to the test.

With love in Christ.

Who is the Pope? - This Rhyme from the 'OMEN' Movie tells you exactly who the Pope is (The AC is not Damien, Damien never refers to himself as the 'HOLY FATHER')...

When the Jews return to Zion and a comet rips the sky
The holy Roman empire (POPE'S) rises, then you and I must die
From the eternal sea (HOLY SEE) he rises, creating armies on either shore
Turning man against his brother , till man exists no more...

I don't think he does care about the poor. The vatican bank is the richest organization in the world, and they always ask for more money because church roofs are falling in and children are starving and parish schools always need more, but the pope has a private vacation home and priceless works of art (that were stolen centuries ago btw). I think that the pope and upper clergy are most concerned about themselves, staying in power and staying rich. I doubt that they even believe what they preach, because it would be so hard to preach the gospels and then basically pee on them.

the bulletproof mobile is for preventing him from omicide attacks like the one occurred in 1981.
A bulletproof glass on his car is not sufficient to say he lives 'in luxury'.
