Folkestone is quite attractive around the harbour and old high street with some nice eateries and bars.

I would recommend Chambers (bar, food & music) in the centre of Folkestone and Bar Vasa (bar, food & beach) in Sandgate.

However, there is a thriving chav culture to be found in all Folkestone nightclubs - if you are looking to drink until you're sick and fight the locals aim for any of them.

Is it The grand Burstin Hotel, with the Britannia Group hotel chain its on the sea front, there are loads of reviews on it on "booking.com" and trip advisor. Dont know the hotel personally.
