Or do you think Discovery will put their efforts into the White Jersey for Contador?

He is still in it. We will know better after the time trial on Saturday. The real test will be in the next set of mountains though and he will have to show more than he has at this point.

If They do anything they'll put their efforts into getting Contador the yellow jersey. Contador is currently 5th. Mayo, Evans valverde and Rassmussen are all ahead of him. Contador could pass Mayo in the ITT and possibly even Evans. If Contador is still in the top 5 after the ITT I think Discovery will try to get the win for Contador. Also they probably will not need to make a desicion until they know who they will be supporting til Paris. Contador or Levi will not be in Yellow before the Pyreness. That means both Contador and Levi can sti back, let another team to the pace setting. Save their energy for an attack on the final climb. Then one of the two could get into yellow possibly/hopefully. Then with 2 days left in the Mts that person will become the leader. So Discovery will not know who its leader will be until after the ITT or the first Pyreness stage. So Discoverys efforts will be to get one of those two into yellow. I dont think Levi can win it. He says hes saving himself, but he has not looked strong so far. Contador has looked great on the other hand.

On a Random note I think Discovery might have something up their sleaves with Popovych. He could be riding for the Polka Dot Jersey. Remember, as long as Rassmussen is in Yellow he cant attack easily to gain MTs points.

Yes he still has a solid chance. Levi and Johan Bruneel have both stated that Levi is saving himself for the Pyrenees, he has been riding very conservatively the whole tour. Rassmussan will likely fall away with two long time trials, Valverde can't time trial very well either. Evans is average. Now Kloden, he is the one to watch out for, he can do it all. However, Levi has a strong team around him, Contador WILL be working for him in the Pyrenees, make no mistake about it. I still think it will be Kloden in Paris, but one mistake and Levi will jump on it. Who would have thought Vino would have been so far down... anything can happen and Levi still has the best team around him. Contador, Gusev, Popovich, Hincapie... those are solid riders to have working for you... be ready to see Levi do something special in the Pyrenees.

endure in techniques, there's a distinction between unlawful overall performance improving maneuvers, and taking drugs. some athletes do no longer dope, yet they do un-traceable events that are unlawful via USCF regulations. It became into completely achieveable up till the early previous due eighty's or early ninety's, depending on who you have faith and what we can by no skill understand. Like baseball, this technology of cyclists has gotten caught up in doping for aggressive side. Now that the door has been thrown open, human beings see that popularity is further and further mandatory, and so the subsequent technology of professional-riders are much less probably to dope. we will not see an exceptionally sparkling rider win the TdF till, i'd say, 2015. the subsequent string of winners would attempt unfavourable, yet quicker or later they have been probably caught up interior the hype. IMHO

The white jersey is a prize, but it is nowhere near as coveted as the yellow. It is two early for Disco to settle in and defend the white jersey. There are a lot of riders within 4 minutes of the lead. One unpredictable day and the whole race can be turned upsidedown.

typically riders that ride well in the alps don't ride the pyrinees well for some reason. dont know why. that's just the history of the tour. Leipheimer has always done better on the steeper grades of the pyrinees. i wouldnt count anyone out yet.

They should go for Contador. Levi seems lifeless, in interviews as well as the race. Hincapie and Popovych are still very strong. but...don't ever count Vinokourov out!

i cant see Levi making the first three .... i think it will be
1st Kloden
2nd Valverde
3rd Evans its just an opinion but i do have a few dollars on Kloden @ 8/1 so i might be a bit biased but i honestly cant see Leipheimer breaking into the top three

leipheimer is from my home town but how am i supposed to cheer for a guy who ties with 152 other people. it's like prevent defense in football- once you quit going 100% you know you do not deserve to win.

Well I don't know he is only 3'53" down (end of stage nine)

There are always the aliens and bears in the Pyrenees. Anything could happen. 11 Stages to go

I doubt they will settle for white if there is the faintest chance of yellow

He is not one of my picks but i wouldn't count him out.
