Honestly, Powers agency is really a SCHOOL. They will promise to "represent" you, find you auditions and ultimately WORK, BUT they will insist you take their classes, which are very pricey, and most often you will never see any auditions.
A REAL agency will not ask for money from you, rather, they will invest money IN you. Check with your better business bureau... you will see how many complaints they have n John Powers...

im going to an audition there today. i really hope there not trying to scam me! despite of all the other ppl saying not to go, i still want to check it out for myself and decide for myself. if they ask for money though start running!
when i called jrp and asked them if they were a school they said they were a management company only to find out on bbb.org their nature of business was a acting/modeling school. they are not an agency.
go to johnrobertpowers.com and click on your state to see when you can audition.
let me know how it works out!
best of luck.
