It is clearly written in the bible that 2 of each specie were put onto Noah's ark. If the bible is true, and inspired by God, then each and every specie must've been put onto the boat. This includes sharks, whales, and even dinosaurs. But it would not be possible for most marine animals to survive on Noah's ark. Now, before answering, keep in mind that you can't make assumptions that doesn't correspond with the bible, "2 of EACH specie was put onto Noah's ark". The marine animals would have survived the flood anyway, but why would God put them on the boat then? Additionally, how could humans and animals alike survive against all the carnivores on the boat? How would people be able to survive against all those dinosaurs?

Well, I don't subscribe to mythology so I've never felt the need to try to explain it, but I would think that whales and sharks, being marine animals, didn't need to be on the ark since they weren't going to drown, and dinosaurs were extinct by that time. I mean, Noah wasn't a caveman and even they didn't coexist with dinosaurs. Anyway, if you believe in Noah you can't believe in dinosaurs, can you? The bible doesn't mention them.

This is just the beginning of the problems. Most people, even Christian, don't take the Noah flood story as literally true. It was probably adapted from earlier flood mythology stories based on localized floodings that seemed earthwide to the people of the region. Some fish would indeed have problems as they are adapted to live at very specific salinities. Fresh and salt water fish species can not survive at even an averaged out salinity level.

If a global flood occured that destroyed civilizations why do our records of societies in Egypt and the Orient continue unbroken through the period? Why don't they mention such a catastrophic event?

I can't answer about the dinosaurs, other than they were moot because they were no longer on the earth but Noah was pretty old when he went on board! Anyway, Noah was told to take 7 of each of the clean animals (3 pair and one for sacrfice), and 1 pair of the unclean animals. Genesis 7:2 here God tells Noah to take 7 of the clean animals male and female, and 2 of the unclean male and female. Then read on in Genesis 8:20 And Noah built an altar, and took of every clean beast and of every clean fowl and made of them a burnt offering to God.

Ever been lied to? Maybe for those times it was considered
to have spiritual significance but today people are a bit more well informed. Maybe they should revamp some of the older ideas that were proponents for good that no longer are practical or convincing and sometimes counterproductive .

whales and sharks felt comfortable with the flood and got the opportunity to eat a lot of fealty infidels while the two dinosaurs died of teeth pain.

Fish would have no problem with a flood until the flood subsided. You'd think we'd at least find 1 set of whale bones inland, but we haven't as of yet.

maybe he thought people would be smart enough to figure out the rather obvious part that water animals would not be on the boat.

and ... uhh, cages? duh? this was supposed to be a rather special event, helping the animals behave would be easy for God.

and dinosaurs? ... right. what book are you looking in where dinosaurs and humans existed together?

really , the answer is that your allowed to use your brain, and figure out what the text MEANS. its rather obviously not dead literal on every detail.

Maybe it was thought that only known species would go.
Noah probably didn't take the South American Lama with him.
