Personally I find the only medication that helps relieve my menstrual craps/pain is Ibuprofen.
Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug originally marketed as Nurofen and since under various trademarks including Act-3, Advil, Brufen, Dorival, Herron Blue, Panafen, Motrin, Nuprin and Ipren.
Low doses of ibuprofen (200 mg, and sometimes 400 mg) are available over the counter (OTC) in most countries.

Poor you. Try a hot water bottle, or a light massage circle down the left side and up on the right, or no caffeine, or go for a walk, or press the point on the muscle between your index finger and thumb, it will feel tender and may make you flood, or Raspberry tea,or the usual meditation technique of focusing on a place in your body that does not hurt - your mind cannot think of two things at once, and finally drink plenty of water. GOOD LUCK !

Oh, I seriously have like debilitating cramps that have me like writhing in pain. So, I am basically like a friggin' guru on this. Take liquid Motrin. I know it seems so 4th grade, but it really works like you wouldn't believe.
Reason being, Tylenol, Pamprin, Midol are are basically in pill form, which can take up to twenty minutes to work. Liquid always heads right into your bloodstream and works in like five minutes. Also, you might need to get a heating pad to lay on your stomach. If you don't have one, heating a towel in the micro for a minute makes for a great makeshift one. Drink lots of hot tea. Warmth soothes the cramping wonderfully.
I hope this works for ya.

Two Ibuprofen. It's the only thing that works for me and it lasts for half the day then I can take it again if I need to. I never waste the extra money on name brands. I just buy the store brand and it works just fine and will save you a few bucks. Try an old-fashioned hot water bottle too. It really helps relax the muscles and it's nice and toasty and comforting. I hope you feel better! :)

Beside the analgesics, lots of walking.
A study a few years ago showed that nurses had the least problem of all the groups of workers studied and it was concluded that being on their feet and walking so much in their job was a big contributory cause.

For non-narcotic painkillers I like a medication called Ponstel. But because of how bad this pain is I would recommend that you see your doctor to have them evaluate the situation further to see what they think could be causing the problem.

Ibuprofen (nurofen). It is a muscle relaxant which is what you need. Also stay away from aspirin or paracetamol, as although they are pain relievers, they work by thinning the blood, which can increase your flow.
