I have a fruit dryer at home and I wonder if I can actually freeze dry fruits? That would be great, as some of my favorites are seasonal and I hate canned stuff. Thanks.

Once a fruit is dry, freezing is unnecessary. Just drying it is a way of preservation. It's redundant to put it in the freezer. If you want to be closer to the natural fruit, skip the drying and freeze or can the fruits.

I'm with funme-why freeze them when the drying already preserved them? Many fresh fruits freeze very well also.

Urgh! I do know!!! They look all shrivelled and taste oddly sour when on their own. And do not even get me started on when they are in milk!!! Speak about sloppy! I on no account devour them after I wasted three quaters of a massive field of special okay Berry simply since of the freeze dried fruits.
