I have found Drontal Puppy Liquid to be very effective for my puppies. Some worming preparations can make the puppies very sick but I have never had a problem with this one. You can actually buy this and the worming tablets for adult dogs from Canine Chemists on the internet . My Vet prescribed this initially then I found I could buy it a lot cheaper at Canine Chemists. They also do the worming tablets for older dogs.
Full instructions are in side the packet.

if the dog already has a round worm infection like heart worm then an over the counter dewormer is not effective. he must be taken to the vet and have several treaments so he is completely rid of the mature worms and their immature stages. if the dog is healthy than a dewormer such as ivermectin given once a month should keep away heart worm

I really prefer to take my dog to the vet for worms. They give you a pill that only requires 1 to 2 doses, and the worms are gone almost immediately. It's not that expensive because you don't even need to see the vet, just drop off a sample for a fecal float, 15 minutes later the tech hands you a bottle and sends you on your merry way.

Oh, you need to go to the Vet to get rid of those. I know it cost a lot, but your puppy worth it. Right? There are different types of worms, but there is only suposed to be one in every puppy borned. I hoped this helped! Good Luck!

Vtes can be so expencieve these days. I remember taking my dog to the vet and having her wormed, it cost me $40 just to do that, so I found a new solution. I know it's weird but it really works. If you smoke, take the tobacco out of your cigerette and put it in his food. Or if you have garlic powder sprinkle some on his food. Also garlic tablets work, give him one, or 2 depending on the size. It sounds silly, but it works.

You can buy wormer at the pet store, but if the puppy has tapeworms you'll need to get a pill from the vet. It's not expensive and one pill does the trick.
Tapeworms look like pieces of rice on the puppy feces. If that's what he has, just call your vet.

You can get stuff in teh pet shop however they are very broad type medsa dn tehy really don't do the best job.
I suggest taking a stool sample to teh vets and finding out exactly what worms she has and get what the vet gives.

Go to your pet shop and buy some good quality worming tablets. You need to put these in his mouth and make him swallow it. You should be really worming him every 2-3 months even if he doesnt have worms.
