To fling something means you toss it without care, throwing it aside or even violently discarding.
So a relationship fling is one where you each indulge your impulses, then end your relationship without care, throwing each other aside, discarding each other like trash.
It's uncaring and just intended for a quick satisfaction of each other's lusts.

A quickie? A casual affair? An opportunity that comes but once and is then lost? A brief, very brief but intense relationship? Flings are also subjective...I remember a fling with ??? that lasted a few months; I was married once for a year--that was a fling; I had a fling last night with a delightful partner I just met...and so on. So a "fling" can be a relationship for a short time or a longer time. If it's contemplated in the future I'd say it would be anticipated to be short. If it's reflected upon as a past relationship, it could be either short or long. Even present relationships might be considered "flings" by one or both of the parties. So I guess a "fling" is whatever you want to make of it - relationship-wise.

A fling is something that you do that you plan on doing only once. For example you might go out of a fling with alcohol and get drunk and pass out. You might go out on a one night stand with some girl or guy. You might go shopping and max out your credit cards.
It is sort of like you do something and throw caution to the wind.

Its a sexual relationship that does not last long and doesnt mean anything.
An attraction between two people that ends up in sex with no further regular contact or interaction between the two.
A "one night stand" or a short termed sexual relationship with another person.

a fling is something taht immature people have to go throw to get something out of there system...aka a ex problems, feeling lonely, all that stuff....it is not compeletly unhealthy to do, but i would suggest tht it be something a person sticks clear of, cause u dont want to be known for the fact that u put out easly, or ur just a free piece of ***
