I believe a lot of creationists either assume that believing in reincarnation will lessen their faith in some way. Also, check out some of the fundamentalist websites that perpetuate the myth by posting "scientific articles" of proof against evolution. People seem oblivious to the fact that anyone can post anything they want on a website, it does not make it true. Add to that fact that many of these same churches discourage their members from doing independent study of their own that might discredit the creationist theory. When I was homeschooling my daughter, I was shocked by some of the "science" texts that were sold through Christian homeschool organizations.

if we look so bad why do we get people from all over the world immigrating here?
why don't they go to some of the smart countries that don't believe in some religion or another? Surely there are plenty of them that are more prosperous than the U.S.A. They are after all the smart ones.

Are you saying that Christianity is limited to the USA? That the USA is THE Christian nation?
Are you unaware of the Christian churches in India, Ethiopia, China, South America, Russia, etc? The Gospel can be found worldwide.
Actually, I misspoke. Jews also believe in Creation. That would make Creationism even more prevalent than my initial response.
I'm left wondering where you got your information.

why would they care? they think they're right and everyone else is wrong. ridicule just validates their beliefs - people should take them *seriously* because they're *serious*. failure to engage seriously just indicates how wrong you are, you see? i mean, there's little prospect of reasoning with them and bullying them most certainly will not work.

I agree, creationists will always complain that there are no evidence for evolution(even though there are many), but they forgot that their intelligent designs have silly evidence(specifically, their circular logic books)
