One day you're fine and dandy on earth and then the next minute you find yourself in hell. Isn't that prospect scary to you atheists? It's not too late, though. Jesus proclaims that anyone who comes to him in faith will be saved from eternal damnation (John 3:16). Don't gamble your eternity by utter foolishness.

You say you don't want to hear "it isn't real" because you're "stuck in believing it". Well, that's the problem, isn't it? You're stuck in believing something that isn't real. There is no evidence to indicate that any gods are real, let alone the insanely vindictive, yet somehow ultimately merciful, God of the Bible. There are absolutely no assertions in the Bible that have any objective evidence at all to support them. The only support the Bible has is the Bible itself. And that kind of circular reasoning doesn't hold up to even the most rudimentary logical scrutiny. You're stuck in a closed loop - the Bible is what's confounding you, yet you're looking for answers to it in the Bible! You can't get yourself out of quicksand by grasping at more quicksand. You want to know what I would do? Calm down. Let yourself relax from your overly emotional state and look at this objectively. Read the Bible with the critical thinking of an outsider. Ask hard questions and look to objective sources for answers. Get some books about other philosophies and beliefs. And read about science - educate yourself about the rational, and the irrationality of superstition will no longer have a hold on you. Good luck.

Well I'm not atheist at all but I can tell ya that the Bible doesnt say there is a place where people suffer forever. Why would a loving God allow something like that? But Jesus did say there would be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous.
The Bible never talks about eternal Damnation, destruction yes but not torture and fire and all that jazz. Dont preach to people if ya don't know yer stuff.

Why are you gambling that Hinduism or Islam or Buddhism is the correct path? You know, 66% of the world rejects Christianity, and the other 33% (Catholics, Evangelicals, Mainline Protestants, Pentecostals, Mormons, JWs) can't even agree on what Christianity is. I mean, the Pope said that the only way to true salvation is the Catholic Church!

You realize, if one person on Earth is correct about God, then by shear probability you are wrong about God. The overwhelming majority of people (and the majority of Christians) don't share the same beliefs as you.

Doesn't that worry you that you've made the wrong choice?

NO! Because if God is true and he is the God of love and forgiveness then he would not condemn someone, who was otherwise a good person, but was put off belief in him by the hypocrisy, small minded bigotry and self righteousness of his other believers. Only a truly evil entity like a demon would punish someone for all eternity, with no chance of forgiveness for that!

Ok last time I'm saying this (today at least). Even if your right you can't force your self to believe in jesus. Secondly if your only going to church to avoid hell your going there anyways. Thirdly your own religion states that you have to love jesus not believe. A person could believe in god but choose to worship the devil would they go to heaven just for believing?
Grow up. Read the bible. Pay attention to what hogwash it is and move on.

Do you ever wonder if the Buddha's eightfold path might be the right way and that by not following it you may be condemning yourself to a lower reincarnation? Will you put down that meat and follow me? Well, then you have my answer.
I'm calling Pascal's Wager on this one.
Cheers
BTW- Atheists do not believe in Hell, so I doubt they lay awake at night fearing it.

Where have all of the good Gods gone?

Your God is just one in a very long line of Gods who have all ceased to be worshiped.

So I wonder where all of the Gods go when they are retired from active duty.

No, I certainly do not worry about hell.

Simple answer- NOPE!

My foolishness is not utter, BTW - it is well timed and wellplanned and thought out foolishness. And usually used sparingly.

Utter anything is just scary.

No, I don't fear hell because I don't believe that an almighty, omniscient being would be as much of a narcissistic sadist as the one you believe in.

If God condemns people to eternal hell simply because they don't believe in him or follow his favorite religion, then God is immoral and should be worshiped by no one.

Another Pascal's wager...the question is, Christians: do you worry that theMuslim/Homeric/Other hells might be true?

A flaw in your argument is that it is based on the assumption that the possibility of hell are equally likely -- or at least, that they are of comparable likelihood to a non-exiting hell. If, in fact, the possibility of there is a hell is close to zero, the argument becomes much less persuasive. So sadly the argument is only likely to convince those who believe already. It is also remarkable to many non-christians that some christians tend to ignore other equally plausible hell(s) from other religion in favor of those of their own beliefs.
