*Read the Icky Bug Shapes Book to the kids.
*Give the kids a variety of sizes of triangles drawn on different colors of construction paper. Let them cut out the triangles and make collage style pictures. Experiment a little first so you have ideas. to get them started. Show them how you could make a tree, a butterfly, a fancy design, etc. Then let them do their own thing.
*Let them help fold the napkins into triangles at lunch.
*Play Find Me a Triangle and ask them to find one toy or picture in the room that is shaped like a triangle.
*Look for triangles everywhere, signs, books, toys. Use sticks outside to make a triangle and challenge them to do it too. Draw a triangle in the sand and ask them if they can draw one too.
*Do triangle paintings. See what they create. Maybe they can paint a dog or a giraffe out of a triangle. Maybe they'll paint a house with a triangle roof.
