Well some people just don't see the logic in it. They don't see how all of the ascribed events in both books of the bible could have (logically happened). While others just seem to think that other religions (such as Daoism) that don't have any particular god have it right. Its all personal preference to me. I dont think people should get so worked up about something so trivial and personal a matter as faith.

There are as many reasons to not believe as there are to believe. I resist the idea of a personified god, simply because it makes me feel like a barbie doll in a doll house world - probably influenced by an old Twillight Zone episode, but there none the less.
Now for some people that would make them say I don't believe in God. For me it makes me say my version of God (the creative power in the Universe) is simply that of energy. In fact I would go so far as to say if God is an ocean then I am a glass of God. The individual's definition of God is harder to nail down these days and people are getting caught up in the semantics.
Now if you are talking about people not believing in a creative power of the Universe, I would still ask if the person believes in science - for that in my mind is simply another religion, another body of thought to make sense of the world around us and to regulate and guide it's faithful. Their God is very orderly and verifiable - but it is still the highest order of things, is it not?
Beyond that - a person that truly believes that they grew here from dirt and trudge through a hard won and unlikely birth, 7 or 8 decades of life leading to rotting in a box, I wonder myself sometimes. Some that I know reach that point because of tragedy - out of bitterness that God was not there for them at a critical time (but doesn't that seem like revenge upon a being you believe exists and let you down?). Some I think are too disinterested to care and just don't give it any thought. Either way, it surely is a path worth exploring, I imagine, just not my cup of tea.
Peace!

It's a waste of time to believe in god.
I'm not saying don't try to be a good person and to love others. I can understand that--I live with people. I KNOW they exist. So that is what I'll believe in.
God? What's that? Why should I bother to ponder and Gee-I-wonder over something so endless and circular as the debate over that?
1. It's a question that's impossible to answer.
There is absolutely no proof god exists, just like there's no proof god doesn't. No one's ever seen god. No one has ever had him/her/it over for a BBQ. No one has any pictures or recordings or words (the bible is a human creation) that proves god is real.
There is no sign that proves god is real. The fact that we and everything and anything exist does not mean something must have created us. There's no proof. If faith is your only proof, I won't be convinced of your position. And furthermore....
oh forget it. Like I said, it's a waste of time

Okay, my reasoning is basically this: There are too many religions for me to choose one, so why bother? Not including all the denominations, there are literally dozens of religions out there. How could any god expect me to believe one group of people over all of the others?
Christians have proof that their religion is right, but so do Muslims, Hindus, whoever. Further, when it comes to Christians, Catholics and Protestants disagree. When it comes to Protestants, Methodists and Baptists disagree.
Christians point to the miracles of Jesus, but there have been "miracle workers" in lots of religions. Why should I believe in Jesus but not the others? Any time a religious person shows me proof of their religion, I am easily able to find that other religions have just as much proof.
How can I decide who is right? I can't. They are all equally valid, but since that isn't possible, they are all equally invalid. That's a bit simplistic, but hopefully gets the point across.

I'm inviting you to see around you. Please see the Sky, there's no pillars holding it. Please see the Sun, there''s no pillars holding it. Please count on the Stars, if you can. Theres no Pillars holding the uncounted Stars. See the day and night, day and night, these will go on forever. Please see the climate and the weather. Non stop. Hot and cold. Summer, Autumn, Spring and Winter and these will goes on forever. Before you live in this world and die, these thing are there and will goes on. In life. Grandfather die, Grandmother die, later we become grandfather and die, our son become granfather and later die. Productions and reproductions. All these things will be going on and on forever and ever. There must be a creator that creat all these things. All these things cannot happen on it's own. There must be a creator. There must be someone who create the Sun, the Moon, the Stars, the Earth, the Mankinds, Animals and all and everythings on the Earth. These everything will not exit without someone who have had created it.
Who is that someone?. Who!!!. Find the Someone. That Someone who have had created to all these things. "He must be the Lord of all Creation". He's the one and only, He must not be the same as we are. He's not the same to any Mankind and not the same to what ever kind. There's no beingining and there no end to him. He live and never, never dies. He's not and never ever being born. He will be forever and ever. He stands on its own. He's independent. He's always the Al-Mighty. He's everything. He knows everything and about anythings. He's having all. He's the Al-Mighty power. What he want happen and will happen.

Because God is irrelevant.
...
There are 3 possibilities regarding God:
1) God doesn't exist. In this case, humanity would be better off trying to take care of the problems in the world ourselves instead of waiting for someone who doesn't exist to take care of them.
2) God exists and is almighty, omniscient, and benevolent. In this case, God can and does help with the problems in the world, but he would prefer for us to help out and would not have any desire to be worshiped. Prayer is useless because God already knows your intentions and that time could be better spent working to help God improve the world.
3) God exists, but is not almighty, not omniscient, and/or not benevolent. In that case, humanity would be better off working to improve the world than worshiping God because there are some things that God either cannot or will not do to help us. Worshiping such a flawed deity is a mistake.
In every case, you get the same result. Worshiping God is a waste of time that could be better utilized working to improve the world around us.
God is irrelevant.

Why not?
Because I thought about it and it made no sense.
And I think something that important should make sense.
Merely believing just because I'm told to doesn't work for me.
I see no proof.
A lot of what I am told to believe seems designed to control me in some way. And I don't like that.

If you believe in his non-existence,, then go on...atheists do not believe in god for many reasons....just believe sincerely in science, then you will find out that god do not exist. or you may not want to believe in the abrahamic god because of all the injustice in the bible/Quran/Torah...there are so many document yourself..open yourself...try to see things through a different eye.

Why not believe in Zeus?
[This is a serious answer. As soon as you can understand why you don't believe in Vishnu, Thor, Odin, Zeus, Buddha, Ganesh, Quetzalcoatl, Native American Totems, Osirus, Ra, Poseidon, or any other of the thousand of deities, you will understand why I don't believe in your god.]

Which god? There are thousands of them. Any argument you put up for not believing in any of the thousands of gods can be used to show why people should not believe in yours. I rather like Bacchus myself and there is as much evidence for his existence as there is for any other god including yours.
