I do not believe the bible is 100% true because I have logic...people mistranslated and re-wrote it many times...

I believe the Bible, aka the Word of God, is true because I simply believe it to be true. I have faith that it is. It's nothing complex, that's the end of it, a "linear reasoning." God becomes more real to me as I study and meditate on His Word. When I put biblical principles in place in my life, it works. Somebody from every religion (or not as in your case), organization, creed, whatever has displayed some type of circular reasoning, even atheists. It's not just "Christians." Should anybody make circular reasoning a foundation for explaining things - of course not.

I cannot speak for all Christians so I will speak for myself. I believe in God as a personal choice and simultaneously I choose to believe what the Bible says. There seem to be several Christians who do not believe everything that happened in the Bible even if it is the word of God. However, I don't believe that it's the word of God as in he spoke it; rather I believe he spoke through these people. I agree with you, when put like that, it does seem a bit tedious but that's just a way of other peoples' thinking. You can't really blame people for their ignorance or whatever you may think they are. Christianity really isn't made to be a guide light for everyone who doesn't agree with it... it simply made for those who follow Christ. Idk if this really helped you.. I tried though. Best of luck.

I guess you're trying to make fun of Christians but what you describe is not circular reasoning. Do Jews not believe the Torah to be God's direct words? Yet there are no Christians here trying to mock that, is there? We're all God's children.

You missed the point. Faith is the true answer. It is my faith that lets me know that the Bible is the true Word of God. How else could a book written by so many different people still all say the same thing? God is Love.

I'm a Christian. I believe the Bible is true because it is the Word of God. I believe it is the Word of God because in all those books, written thousands of years apart by who knows how many people, it never contradicts itself (it appears to in some translations, but in the original tongues it doesn't) and because the odds of just the prophecies concerning Jesus being realized are incalculable unless they were inspired by supernatural guidance - which calls Itself God.
Maybe you believe the events in the Bible never occurred. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad believes that the holocaust never occurred, and is as established in his belief as you are in yours. And I believe you are deceived by the same father of lies as he is. (By this I am NOT saying you agree with Ahmadinejad or his statement that Israel should be wiped off the map. If this is what you understood me to say, please re-read the statement.)

It's axiomatic. Simple. Who else claimed to be its source but God? If one ignorantly argued its assertions based on known logical fallacies, you'd have a point. No-one does, so your charge of it being circular reasoning is rendered useless. There is far more to evidence and proof than mere scientific method which, by the way, applies not at all to the historical methods of proof that are far broader in scope than the scientific method ever will be. The Legal/Historical method is far more exhaustive in its research methods, and takes years more to conduct than mere scientific methods. Beside, when you get right down to it, most argument about many areas of rational inquiry are circular to some degree. You simply can't escape it.

Idolatry of a book.
The living Word of God springs from within or you aren't Christian or "Christ like" for God inspires his children to be revelations of the father.
If you can't tell a concept in your own words without quoting scriptures then it's not part of you and your salvation is an illusion created by your ego.
Test it - is there any group or individual you hate or you're superior to? If you have anything less then love then you score an F.
Blessed Be!

Once you become a child of God, all of this is very much understandable. Because you do NOT have the holy spirit in you, will not know what it's all about. God intended it this way.
Christians are IN this world, NOT OF this world. The spirtial realm is meant to be understood by the true children of God.
Once you open your heart and let the spirit of Jesus live inside you, then and only then, will you understand it all.

I do not have to justify it. The Bible/God justifies, verifies and identifies itself. My responsibility is to show others God's unconditional love. It is God's responsibility to prove himself. So, if you are really seeking an answer, ask God to reveal himself to you...then you'll find out for yourself.
