Do you believe there is one true church? Do you believe there are many true churches? Do you believe that all churches are true? Do you believe the true church is in your heart? Do you believe there are two and a half true churches? Do you believe no churches are true?

A little sarcasm there, but really what do you believe?

I believe that there is really only one true church. The two available candidates would have to be the firsts of a religion. That is to say that Catholicism was the original and later break-offs of it could not be true. The other contender is the LDS church (Mormons). I personally believe that the LDS church is the one true church. Not much if anything is wrong with it, and it was truly inspired by God. He and Jesus visited Joseph Smith you know. :)

As a Christian, of course, I believe Christianity is the one true religion, but it comes in varied forms, all of which have good and bad points. The real true church lies in your heart and in your own personal relationship wth God.

What confuses me the most about the many religions in the world today is that they all get misused sometimes and inspire warfare, conflict and death. I don't understand why people of different faiths can't just agree to disagree and live together. Religion should not be something that inspires evil, it goes against the whole point of religion.

The Bible says that there is only one true church. That does not mean that the little Baptist church down the road from your house is the only true church. The true church refers to the body of believers in it's entirety...in other words...all true believers.
Just because you go to church doesn't make you a true believer.

The church in the New Testament is simply the Body of the Saved and Jesus Christ is its Head.
"...Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body." (Eph. 5:23). The apostles and prophets were servants who revealed by inspiration the will of the Head. "...It has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets..." (Eph. 3:5) "...Members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone..." (Eph. 2:19-20).
"... for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." 1 Corinthians 10:4

Thus, anyone who obeys the commandments of the Lord as revealed by the apostles and prophets becomes part of the body or household. He then continues in a life of obedience to the Head.
The authority is Not in the body, but in the Head (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:18).
The ruling is Not in the kingdom, but in the King (Heb. 7:1-2; Rev. 1:5-6).
The authority is Not in the church, but in Christ (Matt. 28:18; 1 Pet. 3:22).
The church is Not the Savior, but simply the Body of the Saved (Acts 2:47; Eph. 5:22-24).

We are given only one name to wear: "Christian"
(1 Peter 4:16).

Most the religions have benefits and are helpful. There is no one absolute way for me, no one church. Each person should find the one that works best for them and not be afraid to question their religion. If they find something that is useful form another faith, should they discard it because it doesn't follow their religion? Religion doesn't cause wars and violence. People hijack religions to justify starting wars and being violent.
