I don't know what's happening. I was just listening to music when all of a sudden my head feels warm, my body is shaking with anxiety and fear, it feels like there's something stuck inside my chest that makes me want to puke/vomit, and it's a getting a little hard to breathe.

misscara, now that you mention caffine... I didn't drink some coffee earlier... maybe that's what caused it.

there are a lot of possibilities. you could be suffering from a panic or anxiety attack- symptoms differ depending on the person but it sounds like a panic attack to me. Panic attacks can be cause by low blood sugar, nicotine or caffeine use, hypoglycaemia and other simple reasons. In other words, take care of you body. The important thing is you're not crazy, most people will suffer from a panic attack at some time in their life, and it will pass.

symptoms include

Sweating
Shortness of breath (dyspnea)
Racing or pounding heartbeat or palpitations
Chest pain
Dizziness or vertigo
Lightheadedness
Nausea / stomach pains
Hyperventilation
Choking or smothering sensations
Uncontrollable itching
Tingling or numbness in the hands, face, feet or mouth (paresthesia)
Hot/cold flashes
Faintness
Trembling or shaking
feeling of claustrophobia
Exhaustion
Feeling of physical Weakness or limpness of the body.

Benzodiazepines such as:

Diazepam
Lorazepam
Alprazolam
Clonazepam

Can be prescribed to be taken at the onset of the panic attack or before a particularly challenging/anxiety provoking situation. Sometimes, the psychological knowledge of knowing that such medication is close at hand may be enough to prevent the panic attack. However, this form of treatment may be considered unfavorable by some doctors, because of the potential for abuse. Furthermore, sometimes when the individual inadvertently forgets his medication at home, he will have a panic attack solely because he realizes he is without that safety net. Additionally, benzodiazepines will not treat the cause of the panic attacks.

I'm no psychiatrist, but from personal experience it sounds like you might be extremely stressed/tired?

I had a similar experience as a result of trying to get off an addiction, is there anything different you're doing recently that could be making your body go into shock?

I really agree that it could be a panic attack, if so it might be a good idea to see your doctor asap.

Edit: The person above me just basically said all of this while I was typing - It seems like our ideas are pretty united; I urge you to see someone about that.

It sounds like a panic attack. Go see a psychiatrist-they can prescribe meds to ease the attacks while also giving you talk therapy to figure out where your anxiety stems from. If this is something new, it is always a good idea to see your general MD to make sure there is no other physical reason (thyroid, etc) that can mimic these same symptoms.

I'd talk with your doctor. Tell him/her EVERYTHING (your sleeping habits, what's been going on in your life, your relationships, important things going on, if you just had your first cup of espresso). It might be as simple as "get a little more sleep and stop drinking coffee", and it might be something else. You won't know unless you ask someone who can actually help beyond offering a random opinion on a message board.

You could have any number of things going on. I have felt similarly when:

a sudden onset of food poisoning
extreme allergic reaction
heat stroke / heat exhaustion
emotional crisis or reaction
panic attack
or
it could be a malfunction of your heart.

I would suggest calling your local hospital ER and explaining your symptoms, and any known causes. They can guide you best.
