I love the relationship between Satan and God; in Job, especially. I always think it's such an insight into who we are as spiritual beings. Satan is God's creation and God is, to say the least, on speaking terms with him. Satan has the God-given power to mess with us(at least Job) and God's interested in the result, as though we are His experiment.
Satan is back to tempt Jesus, in the form of shining and beautiful angel. Again..Is God using Satan to do the messing with? How can this "fallen" angel really be the agent for the Antichrist?
I think most of the Apocalyptic stuff is suspect; I guess you're a Revelations kind of believer or not. The "Devil" we see is the image of the horned fertility God of the native pagan religion in Europe before the Church began a smear campaign against them. Oddly, the "Bride of Christ" looks a lot like many descriptions of the "Goddess".
I think God got the ball rolling..Satan was just his Foreman.

I've thought about that, but I think I have a better conspiracy theory: God created the universe and everything. After seeing the horrible things that god did to his people, Satan started a rebellion but failed and was cast out of 'heaven'. God then twisted the truth to make him look like the good guy in the bible. To this day Satan continues his fight against the tyrant called god.
Doesn't really matter though, cuz I'm an atheist.

satan is in no way near as powerful as God, for satan to do his evil tricks on people and everything, he has to use GODS creations, he had to use the body of a snake to decieve Eve, if he created things, couldn't he just create some other strange creature? no, it's impossible. Satan wanted to be like God, God had created Satan. Satan's original name was Lucifer, he was an angel of God, created by God, how can the creation of something create something else from nothing? it can't. Satan was proud and was kicked out of heaven, does it really sound like he could've created something? i don't think so....

I'll tell you what really happened. They were both partners and invested equal amounts into the creation of the universe. But God got greedy and forged Lucifer's name, got his goonies to kick him and his supporting staff out of heaven. So Lucifer, then changes his name to Satan and started recruiting the humans so he can one day reclaim what was rightfully his. God, knowing that Satan, AKA Lucifer, would retaliate created a brainwashing technique called Christianity so he can mindlessly control some of the humans to fight endlessly to keep Satan and his crew out of heaven.

No.
In the beginning God created...
Satan cannot create for he is not the source of life. Satan is a perverter, a destroyer and a liar. Unable to create, Satan desires to control men because man does have power, even in his fallen state, to create most anything he can imagine.
The work of Satan is to put himself in place of God to obtain worship. You have it just bass ackwards.

Oh my god read the bible and get the answer to that question. No wait. I'll tell you...NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's in Genesis. The first chapter, the first verse: "In the beginning, GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH." That's all the proof you need!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The thing is, Satan used to be God's right hand man. But then he got jealous and wanted all the power for himself. So God cast him away from heaven and he became satan. So God created Satan. And God created the universe.
