I'm not sure who has the greater problem, your mom or you.
If you have the opportunity to see your Dr., ask for a few moments alone to ask your questions.
For your health - and to get your mom off your back - tell the Dr. you are trying to lose weight, and ask for written advice to take home and follow.
Often for someone your age, the Dr. will have you join a program, or follow a specific diet, or go to a counselor who specializes in kids and weight. Even Family counseling may be prescribed -- as you mom needs help here as well as you.
Don't be scared to talk to your Dr. Your health is their goal, and very likely is on YOUR TEAM. I'd be surprised if your mom didn't follow Dr.s orders.
-- If you can't get to the Dr., consider other options.
Call and talk to the nurse at your Dr.s office
Talk to your school nurse or counselor
Your county health department has nurses who can answer your questions and can guide you to get the help you need, so consider giving them a call.
(I just hope you are not a homeschooler, isolated with limited outside resources. Making a 227lb 12 yr old eat may be considered a form of abuse)

Sweetie, You do have a problem. 227 pounds on a 12 year old is a big problem. My question is does your mom want you to eat good, wholesome food low in fat and so forth or is it foods which helped get you to 227 pounds? Everybody thinks they are an expert on weight loss and yet this country is over run with obese folks. What does your doctor think? Has he/she given you any guidelines? You need a full check up and help from an expert. Ask your doctor to refer a registered dietitian/nutritionist for you. Best of luck.

I personally dont like to watch others eat either. But not wanting to eat yourself sounds like you have a little bit of a problem. The best way to lose wheight is to work out daily, lots of cardio, and eat really healthy. You will see results quickly and feel really great! So instead of sitting in front of the tv the rest of the summer try going for a bike ride or a run, bring your iPod along to make these tasks seem more like fun and less like torture. Play fetch with your dog or go swimming. You will feel relaxed and really great afterwad.

You might be showing signs of depression. Given your weight, you are in a dangerous situation. Talk about it with your mom and dad, or a school counselor if your parents aren't an option. Your best bet is to hook up with a doctor or nutritionist who can help you lose weight and develop an exercise regimen safely.
Not eating is not an option, but you MUST lose weight before you develop heart and/or other health problems (like like bulimia or anorexia). Talk to somebody you feel comfortable with - someone in authority - before things get any more out of hand.
I've included a link below to webMD's child weight loss page . PLEASE get help very soon.

sweetheart your mom is right. Not eating is unhealthy and it also slows down your metabolism. A slow metabolism makes you hang on to weight because your body thinks it is starving. Have you gone to the doctor about this? The doctor can help you with a diet that is safe and one you will be able to stick with. You need to go see the doctor because that is a very unhealthy weight. It can cause heart problems and could lead to diabetis. Do you have diabetis? listen to your mom, go see a doctor, and most importantly feel good about yourself I am sure you are a beautiful young lady.

if you think you're developing an eating disorder, you might want to see a doctor.
please don't start vomiting up your food.. this can lead to damage to your throat, heart and other vital organs.
try to eat three small meals a day.... if possible...
do it for YOU, not your mother or anyone else.
a good way to keep your energy level up is to try walking at least 30 minutes a day.... i used to do it all of the time. it helps
take care hon. you're too young to have these problems.
YOU are important!!!
