alcohol 120% issue?

i have alcohol 120% and i use the virtual disks for sims university. i have 1 virtual disk and it worked when i just sims 2. now i put sims university cd there. the game is installed but i go to play it but it says "please ensure the sims 2 university disc is in the drive, select OK and restart the application" i have no idea what to do and i dont want to bother my brother. any ideas. please help!

You need to run another utility to cloak the cd image mounter. Your game release probably came with such a utility... maybe in the crack directory :P

Run it and click HIDE or CLOAK after you mount the CD. Launch the game. If you like it buy it.

I use Alcohol 120% all the time and am very happy with it. However, I don't like the vitual drives as much as Daemon Tools virtual drives. Daemon Tools virtual drives do a fantastic job job at emulating copy protection and it's completely free.

You also need to make sure that you make the image correctly. Sims 2 University uses SafeDisc 4.00.001 copy protection. When you create the image, there is a drop down where you need to select the correct copy protection for your game.

Well, since you use the virtual drive for the game, the game probably thinks you are using a certain drive letter. That drive letter would be the virtual drive letter.

So let's say you have
A: (floppy)
C: (Main hard drive)
D: (CD/DVD ROM)
E: (Virtual Drive)

The game probably only checks your E drive. You may have to go into the game properties and select drive D (or whatever your DVD/CD ROM drive letter is)

If you are actually using the REAL CD (or DVD) from sims university, you need to burn an .iso file to your hard drive (drive C) and MOUNT the .iso to your virtual drive.

Just make a folder called ISO and put it in your C drive. Go into Alcohol and tell it to make an image. Choose C:\ISO as your directory.

Once you have made your image (of the sims university disc) and placed it in C:\ISO, then go to your virtual drive and mount it.
