I have just returned from a parish meeting where an open letter of support with 114 signatures had been posted by the councils principal engineer as "Supporting Information" even though it had missed the cut off date for comments and petitions etc.

Furthermore the letter was compiled by the parish chairmans wife and not everybody had been approached and seemed to be somewhat selective and covert. The principal engineer has allowed this to be included and I am worried that this misleading information will be used at a local forum and may influence members of the executive committee.

Incidently the principal engineer is being investgated for forwarding my personal and sensitive e-mails to the parish chairman.

A new website, myverdict.net, has been launched to find the majority opinion on every issue, for every community, from local level to international. It's free, anonymous, carries no ads and doesn't sell anything. Debate so far is reasoned and coherent and some important questions have been put to the vote.

This sounds like a set up to me and you are not running with the pack. You could write to the executive committee before the local forum takes place but if they are pack members too I don't hold out much hope.

Sounds like the engineer has been taking lessons from the Labour party and Brussels, both of which tell lies to get their aims. It looks as if you will have to attend the local forum to ensure that this discrepancy is revealed to the members.

Sounds like you're in Louisiana, and someone wants to ram something through a zoning board, and they're inclinded to pass it, despite some procedural flaws.

You can hire an attorney now, or live with the results later.
