Up until that point, what was he doing, running around in the dark?

Why is someone asking do I read much? I read plenty. Enough to get my knowledge through science, not mythology.

God was probably trying to figure out what day it was but couldn't read the calendar in the dark. You thought Edison made a huge discovery!? You can only imagine how much easier it made God's life having light at all!

At that point, God could read the calendar, but there wasn't any firmament, so the concept of a day was totally screwed up! He couldn't tell when it was the next day because all there was was light. So eventually he got this firmament idea... whatever a firmament is... it might be planets or the ground in a world that's supposed to be flat? Anyhow, maybe it was gravity? In any case, it apparently made it a little easier for God to figure out the day on the calendar.

Sorry. That's a few steps too far. Anyhow, the speculation is that God waited a day to create light, but really there's no telling how long that would have been in hours and seconds since there was neither light nor a "firmament." It must have been a real headache for God.

Genesis 1:3 states "And God said, 'let there be light' and there was light." Based on the context of this verse. God created light on the first day of creation. Thus, he didn't wait long at all.

what some call the big bang [is really a perpetual [eternal series of ''in the beginnings'']an eternal series of big bangs]

see god puts up with all our blaspemy
then gets convinced he isnt real [then he disappears and it all falls back into nothing

in gods time eventually he misses us [or forgets ] has a thought and behold let there be light [here we go again]

note that the let there be light thing is wrote a few times to give us the clue,
but i am sick of saying it every time

God has Glory that shines brighter than any set of suns. After we are dead, we will not need the sun, we will have God as light. He is the light. Read much?

With love through Christ Jesus,

The bible mentions that we must not question God's work, which is what you are doing now. However, do not ask me how much money I have in the bank is the same way God asked us not to question his business. Live as he said we should. Like it or burn in fire.

Maybe god has cat-like eyes that could see in the dark.
