no its not illegal, you wont get a virus if you never download a file smaller than 1300kbs,and why would you pay for it when you can get the free version of limewire then use it to do a search for limewire pro and there it is free.@@@@@@@@here is the latest pro version for free http://www.info.com.ph/~cyberray/download.html

yeah it is illegal to download music through limewire(even with the paid version)then why use limewire u ask me-i dont know..i dont have any other uses for it.buying the paid version will give u better connectivity speed and some other features.but will not make downloading music legal.try the itunes store or something like that..thats legal.
and about the virus thing...if u r looking for a song then it will usually be between 2 to 6 or 7 MB maximum i.e.2000 KB to 7000 KB.if u see any results showing 154 kb or 143 kb or stuff like that.DO NOT DOWNLOAD..THEY ARE VIRUSES.mail me if u need anymore info.

Even if you pay $1000 for it, it is generally NOT ok to download copyrighted music, unless the artist or record label has granted permission.

You are paying Limewire, not the record label!

Hi there,
I really like Limewire, I'm actually an avid user of it. If I want to download a music file I use Limewire always. you should get limewire too. It's a good peer to peer software if you have to download mp3, movies, videos or documents. Here you can find a good place where to download Limewire: http://bitly.com/VMeuVV
Limewire is a safe and reliable program but like all peer to peer program you have to be careful of what you are donwloading from it. You always have to be cautious about what you download.
Don't use torrents/downloads from other sites, they might be backdoored.

Hope it helps.
